This whole Perkins deal, and everything surrounding it, is nasty business, but the prosecution fricked this one up, and it appears that it was intentional to some degree.
I say call it even and let her walk. They had their shot and fricked it up. Tell the DA to do better, and tell her that this should be a big lesson learned about the people you associate with.

An appeals court threw out her conviction several months ago, the AG’s office appealed that ruling, and today the LA Supreme Court unanimously denied to hear the appeal.
Appealing to the Supreme Court was largely a Hail Mary. Now the State has to decide the next step. Meanwhile, she sits in prison even though she won her original appeal 6 months ago.
Side Note:
Recording a threesome is OK.

I wonder if the victim will testify now and get all her dirty laundry aired out. Seems like a tough case to make without her testimony.

Whoever her attorney is will argue that she's had no issues staying out of trouble while the appeal has been pending, so if a new bond needs to be set, it should be set at an amount she can afford. What that might be, I have no idea, and what the judge will actually do, I further have no idea. All points to watch.
So if she posted a surety bond before and went through the trial and all of that, she now has to potentially put another up?

Given that it was thrown out for suppression of evidence and Perkins himself has already plead out, I see them finding a way to make this quietly disappear.
She wanted a train run on her, not to get railroaded by the prosecution.

Because multiple participants in a rape is by statutory definition First Degree Rape (used to be Aggravated Rape), and the sentence for First Degree Rape is mandatory life without the opportunity for parole.

She's getting a pass in the court of public opinion for being a reasonably attractive blonde.
