Next thing we know is it’ll be racist when post secondary institutions begin hiring additional security to bring that cash out of facilities at the end of events.

Will my insurance carrier accept the wheelbarrow full of cash I need to pay my homeowners premium?

I get it's a state university, but the concessions are run by people that aren't run by the state.

You don't need a state bill to simply put in your contract with all food vendors that they must accept cash payments. if they don't like it, the next vendor will.

This is the kind of stupid shite the gov't wastes time on.

LA legislature only tackles the biggest problems the state is facing.

I wonder if there was text in the bill that charges concession workers a fine if they don't stand at their register while the anthem plays

Leave it to Louisiana to codify into law maintaining the old way of doing things.

Bet the advocates of this make noises about “small government” and “free market” too.

Great. The cashless concessions is about the only thing LSU has done to make the concessions more efficient.

Who is the target for this pandering?

Another useless stupid bill that we pay our politicians to work on.
Anyway Cash is dying. Congratulations Louisiana for continuing to remain in the past and behind the curve.

I always thought schools used credit card only payments to stop workers from stealing cash , or to not have to carry thousands of dollars cash until they can deposit it on the next bank day. Now i know it was really to discriminate against those who dont have credit cards.
