Classy by Jay.

But, DD never could get it done because she would get in her girls’ heads. Credit is not owed to her. This is Jay’s team, and she’s the dinosaur who held the team back.

She may not have been able to get to the promised land but the foundation of the program is hers

Man, watching that slowmo replay of Finnegan‘s dismount from the beam with all that emotion on her face as she landed it, knowing she just clinched the title, was awesome

Sports. It’s awesome.

To the last last 4 girls on the beam

Awesome start to the beam as well.

Jay deserves all the credit, this is all his recruits and coaches.

I just want to say while DD never won it. Her contributions in getting that state of the art indoor gymnastics facility, which is the nicest gym facility in the world is a program changer for recruiting purposes for generations to come. People don’t understand how big that was for this program and the future. LSU had been knocking on the door for years, they were bound to get over that hump and win it all eventually

Please stop trashing DD - aside from everything she built, the 2016 squad got flat robbed.

“stop trashing DD”

No one is trashing her. Did I miss her getting a natty? She couldn’t get it, and it was because she was in her girls’ heads.

If it was on ESPN, there should be a reply there. At least that’s what I’m hoping

Hahahaha. And Dunne didn’t score a point for “her LSU teammates” in the final. Gotta love celebrity.

LSU “fans”. Gotta love it.

Watching her get emotional as she stuck the landing reminded me of Mulkey at the end of the championship game last season

There was a lot of emotion as she landed and clinched the title. No doubt some was for her sister Sarah who was incredible and was a member of teams which fell just short. I would bet she was also thinking of her dad who passed away a couple years ago and was not able to witness this great moment.
