Back when I was at Tulane I got an email saying I hadn't given them my pronouns. I sent them Thee/Thou. I got a followup email to confirm which I did and told them I identified as a deity. Didn't hear from them again but they didn't change my pronouns either

same at my work - I do not use them or say them, but i also work remote so thankfully my interactions with coworkers are across teams and I never see them.

Well.......I have a problem with that, democrats (of a specific kind) and shims. But I have vowed to no post about it. I'm coming off a six month sentence and have been fully reformed.

Yeah right, frick'em all!

It has nothing to do with tolerance or inclusivity. It's about obedience. They may as well demand that I call them 'your highness.' It's just made up nonsense bullshite, but it has the full force of the propaganda media behind it.

I have no problem with pronouns. I understand the grammatical rules of the English language.

Singular pronouns

Male - He
Female - She
Gender Neutral - It

Singular possessive pronoun

Male - Him, His
Female - Her, Hers
Gender Neutral - Its

Plural pronoun

Them
They

Plural possessive pronoun

Their, Theirs

It's quite simple, you almost have to have some sort of mental illness not to be able to understand that.

While we’re at it can we fix ignorant misuse of the reflexive pronouns?

You don’t help anyone by validating their mental illness.

Here's something that those people don't understand. I'm not going to inconvenience myself to spare anybody else's feelings. People are so selfish in society now, that I'm just gonna be selfish too. If you don't care about my feelings, then frick your feelings too. If you're going to make me miserable, I'm going to go our of my way to make you miserable. It might not be the Christian thing to do, but some of these people would spit on Jesus if he were standing in front of them, and I'm not as forgiving.

I have zero problem with it because if I had an opinion, it would mean I care. I’m not wasting a second on that bullshite.

BTW my pronouns are “ the, she and it” which makes me “the she-it”.

Traditional usage, no. Current attempt to destroy the English language...hellz yeah.

I don't even do the he/she BS. If I dont know the sex I say/write he/him until i do. And for the record I'm going by biological only. I hate hearing people forcing themselves to throw in the female inclusion to not hurt feelings. If someone doesn't know proper usage and assumes I'm talking about men only then that's on them...frick'em.

It frosts my gerbils when people use they or them to refer to a single person

It is great time calling them out though, especially when they are young and don't know you are trolling them. Their brain get all smokey trying to understand why you are confused and keep asking..."ok so now we are talking about 2 of your friends? Where did he come from?" "no no no arghhh it's still my one friend only" rinse repeat until they give up.

Unfortunately this generation is being taught all this so us fuddy duddies will be reminiscing til the day we die off and won't matter.

Well, or if the number or sex of the subject is unknown. That's the singular they.
This is true in the sense that it has been used in common language this way for many years. But, technically it is not proper English, just like the misuse of they/them.

Doesn’t affect me. Don’t have any kids in school to worry about all this stuff confusing them. If they/them want to be identified differently, it’s all good. Doesn’t hurt me so none of my bidness. Just don’t expect everyone else to adjust everything on your behalf if you identify as something non-standard. That’s the part that gets annoying.

It’s just a bullshite fad like Emo was in the late 2000s and early 2010s. Hopefully it will die off within the next 5-10 yesrs

You used “they” multiple times in this post to refer to a single person. Groomer.

Truthfully, I’ve never gaf if Pat wants to be her, him, or it. If it has a Adam’s apple and 5o’clock shadow…it’s a dude. If it gave birth…it’s a chick. It’s so easy, the animal world understands it. But humans, nah, some of us are still working on it.
