re: Of all the hot garbage appliances made today, the dishwasher has to be the worst

I've had my Bosch for over 10 years, but mostly I agree on your sentiment on appliances as a whole. What kind of failures have you had?

Bought my KitchenAid five years ago. Spent close to $900. Runs like a top, knock on wood.

I like my Kitchenaid dishwasher too. The rest of my appliances are POS Samsung. Don't buy Samsuck appliances.

I’m fixing a GE dishwasher tonight. Found out the heating element went out and got a new one on Amazon for $35. Will probably take me an hour to install the new one (you have to unhook everything and pull the dishwasher out). Much better than spending $500+ on a new piece of shite with too many features.

Sounds like there’s a problem on your end.
My first house, 1 dishwasher for 8 years until we moved. Next house, same dishwasher as previous owner, still works after 9 years.
If your dishwasher lasts 2-3 years then either your putting shite in it that’s not supposed to be in it, or something is wrong with your water or electricity.
Figure it out and stop buying dishwashers dumbass. There’s nothing normal about that.

We’re right in the middle of a kitchen renovation. Went with a Bosch refrigerator, cooktop, hood vent, dishwasher, and a Panosonic microwave. Decision was made after reading a lot of reviews. Our old GE appliances were 20 years old and never had a problem with them.

I know I don't overspend on stuff but I was really careful with my research in my appliances I got in 2017 when I bought my house. Only thing I've had to do was replacing a sensor for my oven.

Currently running a mid tier GE. Been 2 years and no issues yet.
That being said, I am the Dishwasher General in our house. I load it and I unload it. Everyone in the house knows this.
Everything gets put in there nice and neat, I usually scrape and rinse everything before loading. I run it almost everyday without issue.
Not saying that this is your issue but if your wife, husband, or kids are overloading it or just piling shite up in there that could potentially cause issues.
Me and the kids have a bad habit of overloading the washing machine causing efficiency issues in both the washing and drying process. That's why my wife is the Captain of the Laundry room.

Well, the Dishwasher has gone out after barely two years
Did you buy it at one of those box stores or from an indepent appliance store? It makes a difference.

DAMN! How much weight could she have gained that quick? Get some smaller plates, or subscribe to Jenny Craig!

Now that squeaky bearing I hear from the laundry room, well that's going to have to be addressed.
If it’s coming from the dryer then it’s most likely the tension pulley for the belt. That is it. An expensive and very easy fix. Just check out YouTube for the model of your dryer.

I have two Bosch dishwashers at home, 9 and 5 years old. Never had an issue with either. Best appliance I’ve ever had.

Look up the definition of the word “obtuse”. That will help you figure it out.

I’m pretty sure he’s asking what went out. I’m wondering the same thing. What broke on your 3-4 year old $1,000 Bosch dishwasher?
He's just an idiot. Neither him nor his husband have any skills other than blowing each other. Trying to fix anything may cause them to break a nail. They're an appliance manufacturer's dream couple.

ours works really well.
the Kenmore that came with the house was trash.

My last one was a Bosch. lasted 21 years.

I work on the pieces of shite just about everyday. Had a ole boy from Cutoff cuss me up and down a few months ago because I told him he needed a new dishwasher. It was a 3 year old Bosch and he said I didn't know my head from my arse. Saw the dick head two days later having another delivered. They are all garbage.

Old, basic washers, dryers and dishwashers seem to outlive the new electronic and sophisticated ones.
After our washer went out I did some research and found out Speed Queen is used in a lot of the laundromats due to durability. It doesn’t have lots of bells and whistles but it has been going 10+ years with zero problems.

I wish speed queen made other appliances
