Keep your attitude in check, do what you are told and volunteer for anything that’s offered. Basically you can be as lazy as you want at the plants. The pace of work is so fricking slow because of all the ridiculous paperwork and idiot safety guys coming over to bother you and slow down work. Think of it like it’s better to do nothing at all than give something for them safety jackasses to get you on. There will also be rat fricks who will be quick to go to safety as well so watch out for them.

Pipefitters/welders are the prima donnas of industrial construction. They know they can be whiny babies because they know that there are very few that can do what they do.
