met Mel Gibson after Mass one morning

My cousins were in the same kindergarten class as Mel Gibson's son. My cousin told me he punched his son one day. He said his mom later told him that she was hoping for him to punch Gibson's son again so she could possibly meet Mel.

Bill Clinton came to our very small college for our mock convention when he was 4 years away from running for president to give a speech. He came to the party afterwards at an old barn venue, and I met him. He was very cool. The classic politician who made you feel like saying hello to you was the most important thing he'd do that day. He danced, played the sax with the band, and left with the hottest girl in our class. She never talked, though she was hounded by reporters and political operatives for many years after.

Back in early to mid 2000’s they filmed a lot of movies up my way and met several.

Was in downtown Minden to see a customer but they had street blocked to film a scene. Had to sit on a bench on main street until they finished. While I was sitting there Willie Nelson came walking up and asked if he could sit with me while they finished shooting. He wasn’t in that particular scene. We chatted for a good 10 or 15 minutes. Super cool down to earth guy. Yes he smelled like weed.

Buddy of mine was renting a house in South Highlands at the time. Film studio had rented out the house next door for a film. One while I was over there they were filming a scene in the front porch. We sat on his front porch and were able to see and hear the whole thing. Houses were very close together. I believe they actually shared a driveway. Anyway, when they were done, Queen Latiffa came walking over and sat with us for about 20 minutes while they were setting up for next scene. She also was really cool and down to earth. My buddy had actually already met her previously and spoken with her on several occasions as they filmed.

Wa in Hilton in downtown Shreveport to meet a client in there lounge. While I was waiting on him to get there, Rob Drydek and Chanel West Coast came in and sat down. They were staying there at hotel and were in town cause MTV was shooting some kind of skateboard show in town. Rob was pretty cool. Chanel was pretty dang hot but dumb as a sack of rocks.

Stopped in a local Starbucks one morning and Mike Rowe from Dirty Jibs was in there having a cup with one of the show producers. We were the only three in there at the time. Spoke for a few minutes. Just a dude. Could have hung out with him just as easily as any of my other buddies.Talked hunting and fishing mainly.

Jessica Simpson almost ran over my 6 y/o son as we were leaving Mall St Vincent. Not sure if that counts as meeting her cause after I snatched my son out of the way, she just sped off real fast.

When I was a kid, my grandfather was the ringside announcer for MidSouth wrestling and also worked for KTBS Channel 3. I got to meet all the wrestlers back then. You name them and I met them. Hogan, Randy Savage, Junk Yard Dog, Roddy Piper, Ice Man King Parsons, Rick Flair, and my absolute favorite Andre the Freaking Giant. Talk about a nice guy. And to little 7 y/o me he seemed 20 feet tall.

I met Kevin Spacey once when I was 16. No expense spared to fly me first class out to Hollywood. That night at his house, we had a drink (he called it Jesus Juice). I don’t remember the rest of that night, but the next day, I was on a flight home and my butthole hurt.

Went fishing with the band Alabama when I was 14. They were great and nice. My mom met Charlie Daniels and rod Stewart. She didn't know who rod Stewart was so he started singing Maggie May to her. She told him she thinks she heard that before.

Lots of athletes working NFL,MLB, NBA, NHL, NCAA, and high school football games. Met other celebrities at ballgames. I'm that guy that talks to everyone I get stuck with for a couple of minutes. I used to embarrass people I worked with on our building elevator

I talked about how hard it would be to hit Mitch Williams, after Charlie Hough had pitched to you for six or seven innings. with George Strait, in an otherwise empty elevator at an Arlington Stadium Ranger game. I knew he was someone I should know, but didn't know exactly who he was until I got off the elevator and a guy walked up to me and asked, "Did you talk to him?" I just answered "Talk to who?" He said George Strait, and looked at me like I was a fool.

At halftime of a Mavs game I showed Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn how to get to the media lounge, where celebrities got free soft drinks and popcorn. When the Maloof Brothers owned the SAC Kings, they brought singers and other performers from the Palms Casino.

I kind of had a conversation about how many 70 year old men were driving Maserati's and Lamborghini's with Owen Wilson in the Sonny Bryan's on Lovers Lane. I didn't realize who he was until after I'd made the comment, "It figures an old guy like that is getting out of that car" when a man got out of a red sports car out front. I hadn't noticed who he was, but did when he answered, with that voice, "Yea, those old guy have the money for em." I was waiting on a to go order while he was eating at a table by himself. When I realized who he was, I decided it wasn't cool to bother him while he was eating. When they called my name for my order, I just got it and left.

The hell I don't! Listen kid, I've been hearing that crap ever since I was at UCLA. I'm out there busting my buns every night. Tell your old man to drag Walton and Lanier up and down the court for 48 minutes.

I've met basically all the 2005 Yankees by staying in their hotel when we'd travel to see them. Sat down for a very brief time at a dinner table with Derek Jeter and Jorge Posada when I was 11 and wanted their autograph. The hostess was telling us to leave, and Derek Jeter was like "They're kids. Let them come over and talk to us." Always extremely nice guy in terms of giving kids autographs. Alfonso Soriano was also a very nice guy and always stopped for autographs. Mike Mussina and Mariano Rivera were opposite. They rarely signed anything. A Rod signed a lot. Ruben Sierra did too. I gave Ruben Sierra a Fleer baseball card of him to sign, he sat down and spent like 30 minutes looking at his stats on the back of the card. Thought that was kind of funny.

Also, I was at a urinal that was right next to Girard Butler. He was in Shreveport filming a movie and was at the Cotillion event I was at. He was hitting on Ms. Louisiana that was there at the time, she was like 21. He was 43.

Charles Barkley.

Back in '99, we were out in Buckhead (Atlanta) celebrating my boy's bachelor party. We see Chuck walking down the street so stop to say hello. I tell him it's dude's bachelor party and next thing I know, Chuck puts his arm around dude's shoulders, walks him to the side, and has a brief conversation with him. They come back, we tell him it was nice meeting him, and go our own ways.

We are dying to hear what Chuck told our boy....."ya see, men and women are like cats and dogs, they just don't belong together......". He apparently went on a mini, drunken diatribe about how my boy shouldn't get married lol

I had a really odd dream not that long ago that I ran into Tom Brady at his TB12 store on Boylston which isn't even open anymore and we got tot talking and he opened up that he doesnt have many true friends and we bonded, became golf buddies and ended up becoming good pals.

I think I might try to slide in his DMs to see if he shared the same dream.
