The running theory is that he actually did find the killer, his oldest son. I always felt OJ was guilty as frick until I saw the documentary that pointed out the evidence supporting that theory.

We watched some of the trial on the classroom TV in 4th grade. Teacher was a former women's prison corrections officer iirc.
Looking back, that was kinda weird to show elementary school kids a murder trial. I remember when the verdict was read but can't recall the reactions from the class or teacher.

SAN FRANCISCO -- A funeral was scheduled Monday for Jimmy Lee Simpson, father of former football star O.J. Simpson, who died at the age of 66.
Simpson, an employee of the Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco for 35 years, died of cancer June 9. His son, now a television actor who was making a film in Los Angeles, arrived at his father's bedside 15 minutes before he died, family members said.
Simpson also is survived by his wife, Eunice, two daughters and another son; his mother, Perlie Mae Wimberly of Los Angeles, two sisters, seven brothers and 15 grandchildren.
The funeral was scheduled for Monday at Providence Baptist Church in San Francisco with burial at the Golden Gate National Cemetery.
No wonder OJ was mad.

Before he turned into an "alleged" murderer he was awesome to watch run the football. I was watching the day he broke 2,000 yards. Amazing for that period of football.
