She's a TRUE FRESHMAN is the part you’re apparently missing. Plus she actually played well with limited playing time.
Damn some LSU fans will shite on any player anytime huh?

She can see the handwriting on the wall. Disappointing that she wasn’t able to contribute anything this year but sitting on the bench with a blank look on her face.

I know she was a true freshman, but it looked like the game moved too fast for her in the limiting PT she got during pre-SEC blowouts.

Yep...She's a 6.5 Freshman basketball player... Probably already past her prime at 18 years old. Are you kidding?

How does anyone sitting on the bench get better if they never get to play. Why have someone if you don't think they can help the program. Why take a player if you don't know she can help. Never could understand why if you are winning by 30 points not insert the bench to see what they can do. We don't know what the bench could do by playing for 2 minutes.

Sat the bench and never got playing time, even though there was no true pg! Only logical move for her... hope she doesn't take Del Rosario along with her...

What good pg is in the portal?

If you say so bro. I'm just telling you what my eyes showed. She's tall, sure. The Freshman stuff is a stupid excuse.
I'm telling you she's extremely slow and unathletic with no discernable "big" moves around the basket other than being tall. She is as fleet of foot as a light post. I don't look at that and get warm and fuzzy when you watch other girls of that size on other teams. She's not even close to that.
You can get mad all you want, but I'm not making anything up for the purposes of shitting on an LSU player as you so eloquently put it.
I'm just making an observation that ADR shows very little basketball skill unless you consider being tall a skill.

What skills do you have except for being a complete fricking idiot?

Mulkey stated multiple times that playing time was earned in practice. Idk man but it seems like she couldn't hack it in the practice gym so Kim didn't trust her enough to put her on the court during games. But what does a multiple NC winning coach know?

There can always be a surprise but I think Kim knows her players well enough that she would have finessed the situation with Velez if there was any chance ADR would follow suit.
In fact my guess is that CKM kindly but firmly told Velez to find another place to play after she had the assurance that ADR was staying.

I get what you’re saying and agree for the most part. I coached middle school girls and would convince a lot of girls who were tall to come out, even if they’ve never touched a basketball. Size is a factor but you have to know how to use it.
Her conditioning is greatly improved from the start of the season and I’m sure it’ll keep getting better. The biggest thing that ADR needs is agility training. Losing weight and working on agility will open up her game and she’ll develop a new skill set.
So I agree that she wasn’t THAT impressive this year as far as being a legitimate post option, and definitely would not have been a viable option to start in the absence of Angel, but I do think she was a decent backup and when she did get chances, was a viable option. And that experience will help her to continue developing and can become a legitimate threat.

I went to most of the home games this year; her improvement from day 1 to the end of the season was significant.
I expect her to make a huge jump from her freshman year to her sophomore year.
Her size alone can help the team.

On ADR I hopes she stays but still need to add another post player for depth.
We have the 6'5" girl from Arkansas, Jersey Wolfenbarger, coming in. She does seem more like a 4 than a 5 but she probably could function there.
ADR got better as the year went on, I expect her to be better next year and spectacular by her junior year.

Sa’maya smith will also be back next season

I thought Del Rosario would help us more. She is big and tall and thought she might be able to push some bodies around. But I didn't see a lot of speed with her. Maybe I'm missing something. Thought maybe she would help around the basket. But I'm just a observer.

I suppose Wolfenbarger could be called a “stretch four” but her shooting and three-point percentages are not great. I hope she’s a lock-down defender. And no doubt, like ADR, her game has room to grow. You can’t teach height. But at least next season, she’s strictly a depth piece.
