Watched a ton of Pels games on TV and literally focused on him all game in the arena. He’s got to go. Too slow.

I agree 100%. Willie disagrees vehemently though.

Hes playing scared. The lack of aggression is getting to a point where it killed two late possessions because he didn’t eveb know about the shot clock.

it really is astounding, and i can't figure out if he just doesn't have a great grasp on situational basketball, if he's lost on where he is on the court at the time, he doesn't trust his shot, or what....

the amount of times that late in the clock, he will be at or near the rim, granted with his back to the rim, and will kick it out to a perimeter shooter who then has to take a contested shot, is astounding....

Too slow? He's too fricking shitty a basketball player. I wouldn't be against him being a coach but a player on this team? frick no he needs to go immediately.

I like Larry but said at the trade deadline the one move Griff needed to make was get a defensive 5 that could play. Not a starter but a situational guy.

We really should've moved on from him this past offseason. It was clear he was washed last season.

But we brought in Cody Zeller.

I'm not joking when I say this, judging by Willie's actions down the stretch of the season, it would appear more likely that we let Val walk and make Nance the starter and getting 30 minutes a night to start next season.

Which means he’ll be injured by game 5 and Karlo/JRE will be the starters.

No, we can't start Larry, but it's clear that we need to draft/trade for a center in the off-season.

Larry had two great passes late that got Z to the line

Larry has the highest basketball IQ of anyone on the team. He’s slowed considerably due to age and injury but he’s an asset if you don’t ask him to do too much

He’s as good a backup center as we have ever had. What we don’t have is a tall rangy athlete (frick off jaxon hayes). I think the primary roster issue is that BOTH JV and nance have the same weaknesses. So you keep one or the other but not both

Personally I’d be fine keeping nance and upgrading from Jonas if possible. If it’s not possible then replace nance

In not sure this is accurate. Larry can’t score or rebound like JV but is a better switch defender. JV has issues switching. I just think JVs advantages outweigh Larry’s switchability. And overall what JV provides- hes just a better player.

That’s because Willie recognizes his value. Nance may not produce volume, but he makes timely plays
when needed.

Does he? He had 2 horrendous shot clock violations last night? He routinely misses point blank shots as well late in the game.

Did he make timely plays? Yes

Was JV still a better option late given his dominance over brooks? Also yes.

The Pels made it tough on themselves late and thankfully had a superstar handy to finish it off. But they could've played bully ball late with Val and drawn some doubles that would've generated some open looks.

This board Two months ago the board was clamoring for him to be the starter over JV.

Who starts isn't relevant. Total minutes and who finishes is.

But also, 2 months ago Larry was in the midst of a span of averaging almost 10ppg in 20 minutes per game.

Since then, over the last 23 games, Larry is averaging 5 mpg in 22 minutes.

So, a lot changes in 2 months. Larry is a shell of the dude he was 2 months ago.
