re: ESPN's Kornheiser backs Washington Post integrity amidst Kim Mulkey's allegations

Let me tell you I've had breakfast with CT. For some reason he has a big chip on his shoulders even though he has become wealthy by using his status as an LSU athlete and learned to milk the social services system. You would think he'd be thrilled with where he has gotten as well as his sons. This university and this country have given him and his sons more opportunity than he would have ever gotten in any other country.

Had no idea PTI was still on the air…then again unless LSU is playing on ESPN that woke network doesn’t get my clicks…

Where is this piece? Are they rethinking the accusations that are planned because they know they don't have any real evidence outside speculation based on disputed facts.

Dog whistle for the liberal hate machine. The remark is a veiled reference to Trump.

Him and Wilbon are muppets.
I remember Wilbon, a decade ago, telling the audience that RG3, after his rookie year, was the model of NFL QBs of the future. Manning, Brady, and such were relics of the past.
A couple years later, RG3 was out of the league and Brady was still winning Super Bowls.
Now RG3 will be remembered for his pink fingernails, and his advice to Caleb Williams to wear his lipstick to match his fingernails.

the majority of journalists are liberal arts majors and are brought up in a system that looks to tear down what Mulkey stands for…..developing young women to win by working hard and staying committed to team rules.
Oh, FFS, you spout complete utter made-up nonsense, with no basis in facts and laughably illogical, and the conservative echo-chamber showers you with "upvotes" because you used the word "liberal" as a pejorative - and I'll bet and give odds most of you don't even know what "liberal arts" means or could name more than one or two subjects in a B.A. curriculum...
SO, your hypothesis is that: "MOST" of the thousands of students pursuing a goal of being a journalist are part of a system looking to tear down the idea of developing strong successful young women who achieve their goals through hard work? So what, these guys are secretly old-fashioned misogynists who want girls back in the kitchen where they belong? College is a secret agenda to destroy society, posing as education and job-training? Moreover, a SPORTS journalist wants to systematically destroy the concept of teamwork? Wouldn't tearing down the system of hard work and team commitment mean they'd have to find another job? They studied journalism because they want to destroy team sports?
MAYBE- just MAYBE, there are people studying journalism because they grew up bombarded by grumbling about "media bias" and they want to be a journalist with fact-based integrity? Those kind of people only exist in the conservative echo-chamber? You don't believe that ANYBODY fact-checks and vets info before publishing? The only journalists who are good at their jobs are ones that you always agree with?
Every damn one of you people who are in this thread just to parrot the "media bashing" are REALLY only complaining about any media that doesn't amplify your existing beliefs - Are the journalists of FoxNews, InfoWars, Breitbart, NewsMax, OANN, etc., exempt from criticism for bias?
Hey, besides not even knowing what "liberal arts" is or means, you ever wonder why they don't have a course or curriculum in "Conservative Arts"? It's because being a conservative doesn't require grammar, spelling, math, language skills, critical thinking, logic or a grasp of science....

So he'll get his chance in Court. What's the beef.

TheDude, He can spread whatever he wants. Say that to Jersey Wolfenbarger. She knows all about Kim and who she is, going back to Baylor and has been following Kim at LSU. She said she loves how Kim coaches and will help her be succesful. She knows all about Kim's personality and type of coach she is. We can talk about Jersey, her family, and background at a later time, and we will understand that recruits don't believe all this racist, homophobe, white privilege lies the social woke media and haters spread about Kim.

Re: StadiumDormNEZ72 ' mic drop!
I couldn't agree more. Sometimes, this place is good. Perspectives, things I know, things I don't know...but man, when group think takes over, it's toxic.
If people read that WaPo article...to comprehend, not defend...they would quickly see that it wasn't a hit piece on BK. It wasn't a bad article. It should have made you think about the fact that we brought in and made BK the highest paid coach in America, while shelling out an absurd amount to release a staff. Collis's role in this article is also clear...as a representative of the BOS, and ties to the university from the eyes of athletics. The other character in the article is also clear. He is, what most in BR would feel, a man who is trying to do what's right to excel from where things were/are currently. There are 2 completely different Baton Rouge's, and the experiences felt within those 2 different spaces are real.
To the dipshit who said that CT and his sons have benefitted from LSU blah blah blah...you mention that as if they have not went on and excelled professionally in their careers absent of the LSU ecosystem.
As I said the other day. Mulkey is not liked by majority of the people who follow Women's BBall, and who are dialed in to normal pop culture today. This upcoming article will highlight and probably add to that. We should be able to take the good with the bad, as it relates to press...but I guess that's too much to ask from some of you. It's dangerous to continue to believe this narrative that the press is out to get us all...and for those of you who do...you look foolish.

DEI scumbag activists in MSM and ESPN mad at Mulkey for not getting in line with their racist bigoted agenda.

Hates his fellow Americans. Points out that the media really is biased and sides with him in a long, drawn out reply.
Insults fellow Americans again.
But no, he's not biased and neither is the media he supports.
Just classic.

Once again, another conservative demonstrates a total lack of any reading comprehension - my "long drawn out reply" (complete sentences, paragraphs, an exposition of thoughts on a subject-sorry not sorry) was CLEARLY addressed to the poster I was replying to, NOT Kornheiser or ESPN- "you", 2nd person- and collectively, the echo-chamber chorus chiming in with virtue-signaling their compliance with groupthink - "yeah, the media is horrible and they all suck" (but meaning ONLY media that doesn't agree with us). I pointed out that THE POSTERS IN THIS THREAD really were biased, NEVER addressed the media in general-"them, they", or even mentioned or referred to "him, he"... I MENTION journalists, but in the context of ridiculing THE POSTER'S ludicrous and indefensible claim to know collectively the ulterior motivation behind current journalism students' choice of study- "a desire to tear down and destroy sports and other institutions" they may one day be reporting on? I prefer a more optimistic hope for the journalists of the future- that they're as sick&tired of hearing old people grumble about media bias as I am, and sincerely want to restore the integrity of the profession. To your conservative mindset, however, just their presence at "university" is a trigger and a "liberal indoctrination" and makes them your enemy before you've heard a word from them. A "liberal arts" education teaches a person HOW to think, critical thinking, logic, reason, the scientific process of vetting and verifying theories and data, etc..... your conservative media only seeks to tell it's viewers WHAT to think and who to believe.
The problem with the idea of journalistic integrity, in the mindset of conservative groupthink, is that it involves fact-checking, vetting and verifying data and info before publication, and that's not good for your preferred news sources- if the LIBERAL media were consistently conflating, distorting, inventing and misrepresenting facts and data, and the CONSERVATIVES were constantly, diligently fact-checking and debunking them, YOU would be all for the idea of "fact-checking" and pounding the table and demanding it, rather than cringing uncomfortably at it's mention- verifying the demonstrable FACTS are the reason that FoxNews, Alex Jones, NewsMax, InfoWars, Breitbart, Donald Trump are all faced with huge libel judgments-
"Hates my fellow Americans"? No, I'm from the South, I totally forgive y'all for being misled, misinformed, and running with the pack, bless y'all's hearts...
FTR, I am old-school and wish we could go back to 30minutes twice a day of Walter Cronkite, David Brinkley, Chet Huntley, etc., and banish 24-hour "news networks"- the very idea of having to TALK AND OPINE to fill in 24 hours on dozens of channels has ruined OUR ability to think for ourselves. Not to mention lowered the bar on what passes as a journalist and hopelessly blurred the lines between journalism and infotainment- but I still know either when I see them, and don't base my opinion on whether I agree with them or not.
