Add to the fire is the author is an ex USC grad that is trying to throw shade at LSU during tournament time.
He admits to being a former USC beat reporter as well as an alum...
in the tinfoil hat department, he could be hit with a RICO about trying to manipulate the outcome of the Women's Tournament. Put him on the stand and ask him about his links with Dawn Staley.
It's Tuesday and the article hasn't dropped...I think Potomac Pravda doesn't want to be accused of trying to manipulate the tournament outcome. Add in all the stuff about unethical reporter conduct...not a good look.

Kim Mulkey strikes me as a great WBB Coach and a nice lady, but not someone you'd want to ruffle her feathers.
Give'um hell Kim.
Give'um hell Kim.

I disagree. I think that bunch of assholes would like nothing more than to frick LSU up and would be proud of themselves if it happened.
As to why the story hasn't dropped yet--that is anyone's guess. Maybe the WP is being extra careful?

Bro, this day and age every big time successful program has their people that look out for the brand and their coaches. Dont read too deep. Same at corporations, politics…hell even nation-states.

Yes. Just thought for next time. I agree that they are not worth spit on a sidewalk.

The reporter has declined requests for interviews...From USA Today. Ironic.

Two facts...the story hasn't dropped and the reporter is declining to be interviewed...sounds like this might never see the light of day.

3 Facts.. She got out in front and called BS. She said clearly... This is why people don't trust YOU... And that most people are not in a position to defend this.. But I am... And I have already hired.. Serving notice... If this turns out to be an "Opinion" peice... She wins.

LOL, ummmm...he works for Washington Post. Why would he want to agree to a USA Today interview. Come on guys...he has the nation on notice for this article. He isn't backing down. She didn't know when the article was being released...we all just assumed it would be at the beginning of the week. They are probably waiting closer til the games are about to start this weekend to drop it.

It’s got too much attention already to not run it. And that’s what they want more than anything-attention. Probably just last minute editing making sure Mulkey won’t sue them into oblivion. If they blast her dishonestly, she could claim damages to her career and recruiting and become a big payday.

It will end when coaches being slandered actually start lawyering up and suing.

ESPN has tragically turned into woke, liberal trash tv.

It was a stupid question. How would he know why people don’t like Kim? All he would know is that she seems to be unpopular outside of LSU fans.

It’s insane that the world will not allow any opinions that goes against the narrative.
The reason being, when your position is not based on facts or sound reasoning, it can be easily debunked if an alternative opinion is shown side by side with yours.

My wild arse guess is that this story is probably not spiked but some legal at the Post has definitely hit pause. The soft leak of the story's concept and the time-pressure request for comment usually indicates the story is going live very soon.
The claim that sources were misled is troubling. I'm sure that's a new wrinkle that didn't come up when the story was vetted internally (assuming it ever was vetted, sadly).
Every day that goes by with no story published is bad for the Post. They kicked the tires, but they ain't lighting the fires, and there is a reason.

We give too much Damn credit to the White Gay Jewish Liberal Media. Clicks, viewers, likes, impressions. Its a business to cater to the weak & misinformed. KM is beast for "Kepping it Real" that's a bad bitch. Build her Statue Now!

In my opinion, puff pieces don't take two years to prepare. Make of that what you will.

This is what delusion looks like lol. Kim is just an unlikable personality to many and if not for her winning it wouldn't be as accepted as is. Dawn is already the face of women's basketball and is undefeated against Kim so there's that. This would be like defending the Les Miles article and saying its because they're trying to make Saban the face of football
How to say you’re a reverse racist without saying it…
