Racial wealth gap widened between 2016-2022, federal reserve study finds

To me, this is proof that the gap is a lot more than just “systemic racism”. Is anyone seriously going to argue that systemic racism against blacks got worse between 2016 and 2022?

Out of control inflation caused by 0% interest rates and govt money machine disproportionately hurts poor people? No way!

Nobody is holding the black man down in 2024. Nor were they in 1994.

And all they have to do...is look in the mirror for the main reason.

The policies that blacks overwhelmingly vote for absolutely crushes them.

What about for South Asians that are just as dark skinned? Shouldn’t they be impacted?? Classic

It's not really a secret that poor people in America in 2024 are poor because of bad decisions. Decisions that they know are bad yet do it anyway.
You couple that with increasing welfare after the pandemic and its a recipe for disaster

Seems to coincide with the time that homeownership for black people was at its lowest point in 50 years.

Yes. They absolutely will.

Damn. What a shame. Maybe black families can invest in themselves, go to college, work hard, and start building wealth with their degrees and careers. Not women's studies or african american studies but Math, Accounting, Finance, Law, Engineering, and Computer Science degrees.
What do I know as a brown immigrant Latino tho

There’s a reason why there’s a saying about something being fricked up like someone’s checkbook

Too Black to Fail

It will continue to get worse until they wake up. This was set into motion in 1964 when welfare was incentivized.

6 years is an interesting sample size.
I'd be really curious to see what the 4 year splits were from 16-20, and 20-24 (I'd accept through 22 expecting that this is the last data available).
Usually people look at 5 year splits, or 4 year administration terms....but 6 seems odd.
Could be just me.
could be that 4 year or 5 year splits didn't give whoever looked at the data the results they wanted?
Just interesting.
