Is this still a thing?

The topic about losing a good friend made me think of a previous experience with a friend I thought I was done with but am still friends with.

I had a girlfriend. She broke up with me. Then she fricks one of my best friends. I swore I was done with him because Bro's before Ho's and he broke the code.

I could understand if I'm the one that broke up with her, but when I'm the dumpee you can't just frick her next week and still consider us friends.

This was over 20 years ago.

So I ask the younger generation, what are the rules now?

In today's society, the bros are now the hos and vice versa.

For girls it’s ‘Chicks before dicks’ and yes. It’s still a thing

Yeah that's fricked up.

Always bros before hos unless it's your wife, sister or mother

Eventually you will get together with your male friends and play “Wife or Wizard Sleeve?”

According to PornHub, you’re supposed to let your bros have your hos.

Just another psyop

Given the fact that dating pool is now more shallow than a rain puddle, over half the country is obese, and another 20% is LGT, these rules are too restrictive and some bros need to share a pussy from time to time.

I don't think it was ever actually a thing. If she wanted to put the pressure on, you essentially didn't have a choice. I don't know about the current gen of 20s, but it seems they are willing to F anything that moves, regardless of relationships.

But, I did have a 50 ish year old hottie try to stick her boob in my mouth when her man went to sleep, and I turned my head.

I'll use this thread since its not about much, but I was going through my bookmarks and came across this. I think this was when SFP was interviewing people from the board. It has PJ's picture on it.

That whole thing about “bros before hoes” is that it was never actually a thing to begin with. Single dudes and virgins in college would say that to guilt their friends because they were mad they were getting some and they weren’t. That is the only context I’ve ever actually heard it.

So my guess is yes, it’s still (not) a thing.

But your situation just sounds like he was just an a-hole. That isn’t a bros before hoes situation, it’s an “am I a good person or not” situation.

I hate to be the one to break the news to you, but she was probably fricking him before the breakup. She may have even used to frick him before going to your place for the night. Your friend probably felt bad for you, so convinced her to break up with you.

Start training your kids early with “pals before gals”.

My son dated a girl for 5 years through JH and HS. She broke up out of the blue and immediately started hanging around his best friend.

Small Christian school and another mom noticed it and said it wasn’t a good idea to his parents and told us about it. MYOB but it’s a small school. It stopped. My son never noticed and my wife didn’t think his friend was that stupid.

About 6 months later he told my son that they were dating and asked if he was ok with it.

He was not.

I’ve always heard it as “ you ask to go out with my ex then you’re saying we’re not going to be friends anymore.” Don’t necessarily think it’s correct but the sentiment stands.

They are on the same basketball team and they never withheld the ball from each other but it was pretty cold for a while.

They’re fine now but he used to be at our house every week but hasn’t been back since.
