He literally was playing SS. Yes i'm fully aware what we are doing flipping MB to 2B for left handed hitters. But pearson was at SS. Stop doing that

You missed the point. Stop doing that.

Pearson at SS was a percentage play, like we did with Dugas last year. It wasn’t an experiment to see if he can play SS.

hea getting outplayed at every position Jay puts him at by other players. He's not gonna play 2nd in the SEC unless Milam gets hurt. And he's one of 3 guys trying to earn an outfield spot. He's getting outplayed there also.

Pearson is playing himself onto the bench. What's wrong with him this year in the field?

I've been a huge Pearson fan since he was in high school. I'm from West Monroe and actually played (just a little, I'm younger) with his dad. But he's been a huge disappointment for us this year. This team, not just needed, but had to have him step up in his 3rd year in the program. He's played and produced too much in too many games and in too many huge games to not make the jump needed. Hell, he's gotten worse.

Sure, he's always been streaky and wound up playing well at the end of his 1st 2 seasons. But the past 2 teams' offenses have been good enough to to wait for it to happen. This year's offense needed him to make a jump as a Junior and be a staple from the jump. And he's disappointed.

No shite, they are playing him at 2B so both he, Kling and Brown can all get ABs in a meaningless game.

It’s not that complicated

It hasn't been great, and I got flamed last time I brought up the question about if trying to steal has even been worth it.

30/40 last season in SB/SBA

LSU's site says 18/25 but the individual stats add up to 18/23 coming into this game this season Pretty close to the same percentage as last season either way. Not sure what the SB stats were at this point last season, though.

I think you could make a decent argument that it hasn’t been worth it. I honestly never remember us getting picked off this much. Maybe Jay is still just trying things out before sec play.

Nobody wants to solidify their spot. Jay's given 7 players a chance to validate a starting spot, and I feel like everytime, they do something stupid

Team is ice cold at plate, and against horrible competition. Need Frey.

And White to wake up.

I’m spoiled and miss run ruling most of the out of conference teams last year. These bats need work.
