Yeah, I saw that (about attempting to use a TWIC card) and was also skeptical that it’s universally acceptable.
I think you have to put your TWIC number in as your Known Traveler Number when you book your flights.

They’re strict on the 3.4 ounce liquid rule.
You clearly fly a lot more than I do but I haven’t worried about how many ounces any liquid bottle is unless it’s obviously way too big. I don’t put my liquids in a quart size bag either.
Haven’t worried about it in over 10 years and I fly several times a year. I’ve never been hassled over it either.

TWIC TSA PreCheck
Sorry my fault I should have posted the link to it.
I have done this every time I fly and haven't had a single issue. Always jump the line.

Same here then I had a flight last week from Germany to Austria and they nailed me for it. Apparently it’s still a thing over here.

Turnt out it was a C0dE issue that prevented me from saving information.
They had to reset my entire reservation. (The HORRORS!)
First World problems.

Give yourself extra time on the way back. Denver’s TSA lines can be a bitch without pre-check

Live in Denver, fly several times a month for work for the past 15 years.
Arrival will be fine. Strongly recommend putting Apple air tags or something similar in your luggage just in case.
Not sure where you're headed but DIA is at least a 30 minute uber ride to downtown. If you're renting a car they're all offsite so you have to take a shuttle, which adds time
On the return flight, get there early. Can't stress this enough. Most times security is pretty quick. Sometimes I've seen the lines stretch out into baggage claim. Assuming you don't have TSA Pre. Pro tip - ask the person that checks your bags how to get to the A gate bridge. This is a stealth security point, few people use it, almost everyone goes to the main security checkpoints which have changed recently - the north security closed last month and there's a new east security which was a shite show the last few times I went.
Root Down is the best food in C terminal (Southwest) by far

I’m surprised you have internet in that cabin in the woods with no services.
Good lord, man. Take off the tin foil hat.

If you have things like pocket knives or some small items, put them deep in your shaving kit in CHECKED luggage.
I can't say if it was the TSA or the airline baggage people but I've had small objects that could be cupped in the hand to not be there when I landed.
Also, make damned certain there isn't a stray 9mm bullet or something of that nature that's rolling around loose in your (checked or carry-on) baggage.
In a carry-on, I once had a small tool bag with a wire cutter and screwdrivers that I had to watch get thrown into the big dumpster. If you aren't certain about what you can get by with, just put it in your checked bags.
It's been 3 years since I've flown, but I will say don't wear large belt buckles, neck chains or steel toed boots that will set off the metal detectors.
I even had a collection of spare change in my briefcase that the screener interpreted as a sword.

It's not that crazy. Some people just don't like traveling or prefer driving.
I haven't been on a plane in around 11 years, although I've flown hundreds of times.
I don't particularly enjoy the experience, particularly with a family and when the kids were younger.

I actually see people get forced to carry them on because of the batteries now.

Flying commercial really sucks overall. Just suck it up.

We flew with the kids a few times when they were young and decided that we hated it and it was expensive. We just haven't had a reason to the past 5 or so years.
I used to travel about 20 weeks per year for work for 7 years. I hate the whole process to be honest, post 9/11 at least. It's herding cattle, planes are cramped. Everything about it sucks.

Even better, have TSA Precheck.
This. Less than $100 every 5 years. You leave your shoes on, keep laptops in the bag, and sail right through. Best value in flying right now.

Don't put your wallet in the little tray. Put in your carryon.
Guy had his stolen between time he put in tray and it came out of x-ray machine. TSA New Orleans. He was right behind me in line.
TSA just collectively stared at him.
