Play Pearson and brown. Louisiana kids who don’t give a shite about their draft grade.

Idk what you do but I surely hope Kling gets his head out of his arse sooner rather than later.

Kling currently on a 15 consecutive game on base streak

Not to be that guy, but when sec play starts I don't expect that to stand. If he could put it together he'd be an ideal leadoff guy. HBP and walks are good and all but you have to be at least a threat to actually hit.

I got shite for it the other because of his obp. He’s getting walked and hbp

Getting on base is the most important thing for a lead off hitter what difference does it make if it’s walks or hits?

The hitting overall is very meh so far. Gonna be interesting to see if it improves seeing as the competition gets much tougher going forward. Still early but I haven’t been overly impressed with the bats at this point. Replacing a lot of production so I anticipated a slower start though.

Milam would be my first choice. Switch hitter and makes good contact. Ultimately I would hope Kling could earn the position back as he is more suited for it. Currently he isn’t suited for it.

It’s not even that he has to sit, but Lester trying to argue that there is no one else that can lead off and that moving Kling down in the lineup would leave a hole at the top is stupid

moving Milam creates another hole at the top of the order

See my other posts about his likelyhood of getting as many walks or hbp in sec play.

Yeah but at some point you are going to need your lead off hitter to get hits. If getting on base is the most important thing for the lead off hitter then why isn’t Travinski or Milam or Milazzo leading off?

If sec umps squeeze the zone like they did last year then yeah, you can probably keep Kling there. I'd still like someone thats a threat to actually hit there but I get the play.

I don't buy the argument though. Move him to 8-9 and have him be on on base threat when the lineup turns over.

I am again asking how? Milam, Neal, Tommy, Travinski, Jones. Where is the hole?
