Bad coaching/strategy is why they were limited.
Coaches in the 90's.
Tier 1: Pat Riley, Phil Jackson, and Greg Poppovich.
Tier 2: George Carl, Rudy Tomjanovich, Jerry Sloan, and Chuck Daly.
That's a pretty good list for saying bad coaching. Better than what we got today for the most part in my opinion.
I'm not gonna argue 90s vs now but posting a few 3 minute cherry picked highlights doesnt equal truth. I could make a quite a bit of a 3 minite videos of LeBron mistakes to show he sucks and idiots would claim its true. With as much as Lebron and Jordan have played there are always going to be lowlights.

I can't stand Lebron but.....
Yes he does and if you think he doesn't you're letting your hatred of him cloud the part of your brain that uses common sense. He is a physical freak of nature.
Lebron is an extremely skilled passer, and just as good as just about anyone outside of guys like Stockton and Kidd. Something those true PG's didn't have was the ability to get to the rim and finish over anyone to ever play the game like Lebron was able to do, so Lebron doesn't go looking for the nice assist 95% of the time the ball is in his hands like all of those true PG's. If you told him to go average 15 assists a game and only score 15 ppg, i'd bet he could do that with relative ease, and again i say that as someone who can't stand him.

No. He doesn't have MJ's athleticism, but is a very athletic guy.

Not even in the same universe. Some of you make these claims and forget how good some of these greats were at their specific skills. He is nowhere near as good of a passer as most true point guards, much less the greatest PG of all time.

LeBron is one of the all time greats but as far as the GOAT? No, Jordan is and always will be.
You can argue stats until you're blue in the face but the fact is Jordan changed the game by making it a popular global sport paving the way to what it is today and saved the NBA. That's GOAT status.

If it makes you feel better, we can say bad coaching culture.
Not shooting 3s is bad strategy. Shooting long 2s is bad strategy. There is not an argument to me made otherwise. Nothing in the defensive rules at the time led to these bad strategies.

Dude watch the larry bird Celtics. They ran plays. Pass it around to the chief or Mchale down low, Bird coming off screens, or DJ or Ainge from the top of the key. Same with Isiah Thomas's Pistons, Doctor J Sixers, or Magic with the Lakers. Everybody was involved in those offenses.

Have you watched modern offenses? It's all passing and team offense.
I bet I can pull up a random Celtics game from the Bird era and see significant isolation play. the illegal defense rules and coaching loved isolation and fast break (in the 80s, not as much in the 90s and there was about none in the early 00s).

Or, back here on planet earth, he just happened to play in an era when all sports were becoming global anyway.

This. He's the all time leading scorer and scoring is not even his best attribute. His court vision and passing has always been the best part of his game.

This was frowned upon in the 90s too. Mid range and paint were the preferable shots then unless you were Reggie Miller or his type and then it was all preferable to shoot the 3 over long 2's for those guys.

Pretty good. We were worried sick about you.

Partially due to the marketability of Jordan. No one had seen someone do what he was doing before. He was the face of sports in the 90s over any other athlete by far. You cant argue that. The NBA themselves claimed he saved them.

Yes it was Michael Jordan, definitely not the internet
MJ probably invented the internet

Lol the internet? When do you think most houses in america got the internet let alone the world?
Jordan retired in 2003. Most houses in the us finally had the internet by mid 2000's.
The global push started with the dream team in 92 and expanding the tv market in the 90s.

No it wasn't. Not with their iso ball. It was finding the best shot individually against your defender.

Naw Jordan was the marketing icon.

Not gonna dispute your point here, BUT, the Celtics are an interesting team to use as an example for the sole reason that Tatum and Brown on the modern day Celtics are pretty good examples of exactly the same kind of play.
