A&M is barely beating Texas southern 4-3 in the 8th
Were down 3-1 in the 7th to a SWAC school.
Anyone concerned because we looked sluggish on the road in a midweek game is a certified simp.
I didn't give a shite about anything other than how Anderson pitched. That is by far the most important data point to take away from tonight.
Dude has pitched our two only true road games and absolutely shoved both times. He better be in the pen for SEC play.

Good road adversity, good 9th inning comeback
Good experience for this team all around
I know it's just SLU, but that has to go a long way to building even more confidence and character for this team - especially the young guys, which we have a lot of.

This post makes way too much sense and is way too rational for about 90% of the tards here.

Fair enough. That’s understandable

I'm glad we're back home after this, I'm really looking forward to Lyn after dealing with these announcers.

Southeastern might be the best of all 5 of these teams.
9-5 Southeastern who has 3 wins already this season against SWAC or NAIA schools (whatver Xavier of New Orleans plays).

Why are you always so miserable?
Why do you assume I'm miserable tonight? Can we not admit that this game was close tonight because LSU left their bats in Baton Rouge?

Agree with all of this

They are definitely better than a SWAC school and Southern Indiana... yes.
Troy is 10-4 but has also beaten up on the SWAC as well as the Ivy League, also lost a series to a really bad Northwestern State team.
UCF is probably better than Southeastern, but c'mon baw you're just picking nits at this point.

Southeastern grad, you can’t convert back to an LSU fan until tomorrow.

FWIW (probably worth nothing), Xavier just handed La Tech its first loss of the season as they make their way down to BR.

Finally, la tech was due. Tcu is next

Justin will be ready. Get right weekend for our guy.

I mean we only threw front line relievers and pitched Guidry for the third time in five days
Guidry threw 1 inning Saturday, faced 1 batter Sunday.
Rodriguez for them threw 2 innings Friday and 2.1 on Sunday.
Yes, there's a difference, and did you literally not see me preface my entire post with "We obviously wanted to win this game".

It's getting not so "early" as it was a week ago, but Anderson looks like a weekend starter as much as a Holman and Jump at this point. He obviously isnt starting this weekend, and I probably doubt he is next week against MSU since we have 2 mid-week games and maybe stretch him to more like 90 or so pitches, but I bet he makes Jay seriously think about it if Hurd/Coleman cant nail down that Sunday spot soon enough and Anderson pitches a 4th straight gem next week.

I’m not a big sit everyone and fire everyone guy. But the weakest link in the line up has been Pearson. But I know Jay trusts him.

t was a poor one. We have a frick ton more arms than they do and didn’t play a game last night like they did. But them using a couple of their top guys means they wanted it a bunch more than we did, even though we also used 3 of our top relievers?
Guidry pitched an inning, ack pitched an inning. Might’ve been their bullpen day anyways. Yes JJ clearly wanted to win but there’s always more to it.
