Good job, Saint. You redeemed yourself from that earlier debacle.

Great comeback for the Tigers. Clutch hitting in the 9th and Ackenhausen slammed the door

Played good baseball. Since you must be just tuning in, stuff like that occasionally happens.

I watched Nicholls come to the Box last year and make diving catch after diving catch on defense. I've seen teams come to LSU and collect hit after hit to get a win.

The comment I quoted said Southeastern played great. But they really didn't. If they would have won it would have been because LSU was asleep at the plate. Those pitchers with double digit ERAs didn't just magically pitch well tonight. Not to mention the bad base running by Southeastern kept another run off the board. So I repeat, Southeastern did not play great.

I mean we only threw front line relievers and pitched Guidry for the third time in five days. What kind of depth do you think they have?

Well that’s not why he pulled GG.

Was moreso replying to him saying "Ack??" and "WTF!!!" Ack has more in game experience. Was absolutely the right call, and that's taking nothing away from Guidry. Jay is a maestro.

They threw one guy with a double digit ERA and he probably pitched better than the other three.

We didn't use anyone that pitched 4+ innings last weekend. That was thunderbird's point. That reliever pitched a lot last weekend and then tried to complete 2 innings tonight.

Our top of the line relievers were not taxed last weekend.

They played well enough to keep the game close against one of the best teams in the country. Baseball isn’t an exact science all of the time. Teams are going to slump at times but the good ones find a way to eke out a win even in a bad day. We did that. Selu might not be a sec team but they are gonna beat some tough teams this year. Lots of positives to walk away from this game with if you are a tiger fan

I agree with this. I'm not mad, and wasn't going to be mad if we lost. We were due for a sleep walk after the big weekend in Houston last weekend.

I'm just pointing out that while Southeastern wasn't beating themselves, they weren't playing great either.

Why are you always so miserable?

Florida lost to UCF 9-6
Tennessee barely beat So Indiana 2-1
A&M is barely beating Texas southern 4-3 in the 8th
Bama barely beat Troy 8-7

Southeastern might be the best of all 5 of these teams.

they did have a guy with 12.2 inning under his belt come in.

But we used Ulloa, Guidry and Ack, so

Double digit ERAs are kinda meaningless this early in the year.

It was a poor one. We have a frick ton more arms than they do and didn’t play a game last night like they did. But them using a couple of their top guys means they wanted it a bunch more than we did, even though we also used 3 of our top relievers?

Also thank you Cheer! U r da man. Many a day you've allowed me along with everyone else to follow the game while out of commission and not in front of a TV and I appreciate you for it.

Sometimes a little slump buster is needed to remind this team of where life can go if they start losing. You don't get the Livvy Dunne's of the world by losing to Southeastern.
