Have you ever thought about that one movie you wish you could experience again on the big screen? Maybe it's a classic that was before your time, a childhood favorite that brings back memories, or perhaps a cinematic masterpiece whose details you can only truly appreciate in a theater setting. Well, let's turn that thought into a fun and engaging conversation!

I'm curious to know: If you had the power to bring any movie back to theaters for a special screening, which movie would it be and why? It could be anything from the golden age of cinema, a 90s blockbuster, an indie gem, or even a recent release you feel didn't get the attention it deserved.

Here's your chance to share your passion, relive some memories, and maybe even introduce others to something they've never seen before. Tell us about the movie you'd choose and what makes it so special to you. Is it the breathtaking visuals, the stirring soundtrack, the compelling story, or maybe the performances that left a mark on you?

Feel free to dive into what makes the theater experience unique for this film. Is it about the sound that fills the room, the shared reactions of the audience, or the sheer scale of the visuals?

Let's make this thread a celebration of cinema in all its forms and the unforgettable experiences it brings us. Who knows, we might end up with a fantastic list of movies to dream about seeing on the big screen again.

Looking forward to your picks and stories!

Any Classic comedy. I saw the original “Anchorman” in a movie theater and there is something electric about watching a great comedy in a theater. It was one of the best movie experiences for me.

Since I missed it when it came out and is now one of my favorites, Master and Commander.

The 10 year anniversary of Interstellar is this year. Hopefully they have some IMAX showings to celebrate. I saw Oppenheimer in 70mm IMAX but I don’t think that movie needed it. I’d drive the 3 hours again if they showed Interstellar. (They did last year but the tickets sell out so quickly)

Star Wars.

Not A New Hope.

Not the "corrected" version.

Not the "enhanced" version.

I want clunky black boxes on the screen as the TIE fighters fly across the unmoving stars. I want Han shooting first. I want Jabba to be an unseen but ominous threat. I want every effect to be practical and every alien to be a rubber suit.

I saw Twister in the theater. That was pretty awesome. Apollo 13 too just for that launch sequence.

There's a lot to choose from, but the first I thought of was 2001: A Space Odyssey. Imagine watching the cinematography and hearing the music blasted in the theaters would be something to watch/hear.

LOTR. I always hear y’all talking about how great it was in theaters. I was too young when they came out and want to feel that experience.

I’ve never seen Ghostbusters on the big screen. I really enjoyed the special edition Star Wars movies as a kid.

I’ve said before Super Troopers and Austin Powers Spy who Shagged Me are my two all time favorite movie experiences. Not the best movies I’ve seen on the big screen, but experiencing a movie for the first time with an audience in a memorable way.

I’ve never laughed as hard as I did in Super Troopers. I almost started choking during the bear fricker scene because I couldn’t breathe. Everyone in the theater was going nuts.

And in Austin Powers when they have Fat Bastard stool sample and Austin pours it as his coffee, there chuckling going on until some lady yells out “DONT DO IT AUSTIN!” Theater lost it after that.

Event Horizon

Everything scary about that movie is lost the moment you leave a theater.
