I agree for the most part, but the search function on Reddit is absolutely terrible compared to many other forums out there.

I dont like reddit on my phone.

It's easy to lose your place or even try to type something and the text box completely disappears, and you just have to exit out and start over so you can see what you are typing.

You're right about Twitter but Reddit is a lost cause of people with no social skills and a complete intolerance for any opinion contrary to the group think narrative that that they have coagulated around. And I'm not talking about politics or hot button social issues either. I'm talking about shite like camera equipment and cars. To call that place an echo chamber would be an insult to echo chambers. It's just an assembly of broken toys who can't fit in.

Meaning our tax dollars fund it. Or, like Bukele recently explained, our tax dollars funding stuff is just an illusion they use to blind us to the reality that money-printing is actually what funds it. Which means that Reddit is being kept afloat as part of the giant scheme to enrich the elite while making us all struggle.

If you consider being completely overrun by bots and porn to be just fine then I guess

I made the mistake of commenting on a political post there with something positive Trump did. You would swear I told everyone of those nerds that I was banging their mom or something. The onslaught of negative comments, downvotes and messages was off the charts. Never seen such a triggered group of people.

I routinely go to r/Houston to stir the pot.

Whitmire anti-bike stuff has been great.

That sub and any local sub is far removed from the IRL populace. You'd think Houston is left of Portland by /r/houston

I’ve definitely noticed an uptick in the annoying arse porn bots post Elon. I practically only follow sports journalist and a handful of irl friends but a good quarter of the posts I see on my feed are porn bots or political rage bait. I’ve pretty much stopped scrolling the For You page for that reason. Not sure how it’s “for me” when I’ve never interacted with any of them.

I also agree with Twitter.

I have no idea on Reddit as I’ve just seen snippets from the site and I’ve never really used it. But I know of a lot of people IRL that are on Reddit all the time and they’re the opposite of the type of people yall say are on Reddit. They’re at the bar with me talking to people. Conservatives, liberals, and moderates. I’m probably in the minority of people my age by not using Reddit…

So seems like it’s the same overreaction. I’m sure there’s pockets of antisocial intolerant people as there are anywhere you go on the internet. There’s a ton here too.

The porn bots are almost always replies to other posts. I haven't seen any actually tweeting or posting. It seems the wording of certain posts can trigger them, and the "my pussy in bio" posts flood the responses.

I use reddit every day and would enjoy it but the mods on almost every sub have ruined it. But go on...

Reddit is left of Mao, but small hobby subreddits are fun.

There are those and there are also a shite pile of poorly disguised onlyfans ads as tweets. I always assumed those were bots but maybe not.

But yea you can be reading a tweet about Nick Saban retiring and in the comments will be several “click to see more of me” bullshite replies.

In a way, yes. There are some excellent subreddits but most are terrible.

Reddit is mostly a hive mind of anonymous losers who reinforce their narrow minded views with an upvote/downvote system that hides dissent. At least on TD, we can still read and consider the comments that are heavily downvoted.

What does any of this have to do with AI using Reddit's language database to enhance AI learning models?

Reddit is filled with a bunch of pussies and dirty people. I was looking through all the categories they have on there and came across one named "Poor". I started reading some of the shite people post and it seemed like almost everyone I read, it was people who had an excuse for everything about their situation.

Unless I just didn't go to the right threads, it seemed like the ones I did look at it was a bunch of nerds who would make the obvious jokes and people would respond "underrated post". And that place has too much shite, its not easy to navigate through.
