Everyone bashing Reddit is just jealous they’re not a mod like me. They crave the power that comes with being a mod but don’t have the intellect required.

I would ban you all so quick if you came to my subreddit that covers Gender Themes in Rick & Morty. You wouldn’t know what hit you, you simpletons.

Your post is meant to be humorous, but it is scarily accurate...

What does any of this have to do with AI using Reddit's language database to enhance AI learning models?

You are such a cartoon.

Do you really think that would be the extent of it?

I humbly recommend updating OP title to correctly state “EBITDA” instead of “EBITA”

It has to do with your claim that it’s one of the vast sources of human language. It isn’t. It’s narrow and will provide little authenticity to an AI language machine.

Reddit has one of the most vast sources of human language that isn't owned by one of the big boys.

Anyone who uses Reddit often knows that merely even the idea of using it to train AI is both stupefying and horrifying.

Reddit is...narrow? Explain

I don't use Reddit as a message board, but if I have a question about almost anything, I can type in the subject, add "reddit" and see multiple threads discussing exactly what I need

Not only that, it's filled with humans interacting with each other within this vast context of information.

Quora and Reddit are worth an incredible amount to whichever company can lease their content

I know how to use Reddit just fine. The problem is their algorithm pushing progressive left posts to the top in every fricking subreddit imaginable and burying anything slightly right.

This going to be a stock that trades exactly like a scam shitcoin on some vague crypto exchange. Reddit’s wallstreetbets forum is where and why the whole GameStop / AMC / etc. meme stock thing got started. If this IPO happens good luck unless you’re in the discord on when to pump and dump it.

Because they’re kept afloat by the intelligence community. The sole purpose of the ‘karma’ system is to reinforce the narrative. If karma was turned off, it would turn into post-Elon twitter within a day.

What function does karma actually serve? I browse Reddit but very casually and only when searching for a specific topic.

It’s fake internet points that provide validation to an opinion. Comments with the most upvotes rise to the top while comments with the most downvotes sink to the bottom.

It’s a system that ensures that the most popular opinion is the most read.

It was a decent system when the entirety of the website was made up of jokes, cat videos and porn

But it starts getting troublesome when it starts becoming a news hub which it is is today.

There are those and there are also a shite pile of poorly disguised onlyfans ads as tweets. I always assumed those were bots but maybe not.

But yea you can be reading a tweet about Nick Saban retiring and in the comments will be several “click to see more of me” bullshite replies.

I follow a lot of weather-related people on Xwitter, and it seems the porn bots have just now discovered the weather nerds. It is weird to see some guy give a deep cut weather post/forecast and one of the first replies is "click for my pussy" or some shite.

Place is a prog echo chamber where any mildly dissenting opinion gets banned from a sub and destroys user engagement. Curious what their numbers would be if they dropped their commie mods.

It always makes me shake my head when I read something like this because the sum of politics on Reddit is maybe 2-3 percent. The vast majority of forums on Reddit don't even allow political discussion. While I am not a huge fan of Reddit's format and the similar Reddit forums are secondary in use to my primary subject matter forums as a whole it is far from any sort of monolithic echo chamber.

It's meant to root out obstructionists and trolls but, as anyone with a brain would predict, became a tool for creating echo chambers.

karma is less the issue than the jannies that will lock any topic that might stray to far from their narrative.

the whole site has been astroturfed to hell with fake post like this one
