In baseball I don’t think any one game is a “real test” to decide whether a team can hit well. Not any more so than for an individual hitter. Even Crews had hitless days at the plate. Just too small a sample size.

This year's offense through the first 7 games:

Both played poor competition to start the year with the one exception being the Iowa game last season that we got skull drug. Both played in cold weather but last year's team played 3 games on the road while this year's team hasn't left the Box yet.
I'm not saying the offense will set the world on fire this season, but the production is right on par with probably every top level program in the country and on par with the offensive heavy team from last season. Is that good enough for a supportive argument?
