you sure put a lot of stock in spring training bullshite. I'm curious...what "decent AAA" bats do we have in the organization that we should bring up?
Follow-on question...do you really think the offense is going to be so questionable that we can't afford to let a toolsy guy figure it out while providing good defense?

I'm still just stunned that on March 12, we had someone in this thread unironically complain that we didn't re-sign Eddie fricking Rosario based on spring training AB's from Kelenic.

Fair enough. Guess I will just have to put myself on "wait and see" and just shut up about it. I really hope Kelenic gets straightened out and turns into a solid contributor

Fangraphs has us about 1 WAR worse than we were last year based on projections and losses/acquisitions. When accounting for such a large roster like we have in baseball that's essentially negligible. Still kind of interesting, though unsurprising. We got Kelenic off the projection/hope he improves and outperforms expectations. The talent is certainly there to do that, but we will see.

Kelly Crull won’t be sideline reporter this season. I have no idea if that’s old news. Any idea of a replacement?

It seemed like she was getting phased out last season for whatever reason. Sounds like Collin McHugh and Wiley Ballard will do a lot of the on field reporting this year. I like Wiley. He does Braves stuff on 680 every once in awhile and is a good listen.

Love it. He can play LF if Kelenic struggles, can platoon with him if he struggles against LHP, can DH and not lose much if Ozuna regresses, he can be a power bat off the bench for late-inning PH opportunities, and I think one thing that was always an overlooked part of his value is the fact that he can also play CF. So he could be an everyday player if anybody in the OF gets hurt. He could also be a trade piece at the deadline if he's not getting any playing time and we need something or even make Ozuna a trade piece. Don't think they'd want to trade either unless there's an unexpected injury. And he's been a World Championship team
Just a lot of value for 1 year/$3M. Nice pick up. Great insurance for that price.
