Edited for LF. Will be interesting to see how long of a leash Kelenic has.

They are going to give him actual games before they make that decision.

Not to be a Debbie downer but is anyone else concerned about Strider adding another breaking ball and how much more torque will be on his elbow now?

Wish he would focus on cleaning up the changeup instead of adding the curve

Not like it will change the overall % of breaking pitches that he throws that much anyway. Hopefully he continues to work on the changeup anyway though.

Nah. TJ is pretty random as it is.

Split squad with the Twins today, Acuna gets his first hit of the spring - RBI double.

Bats are alive in both games.

Ozuna having a good spring so far. Played 1B again today, went 3-for-3 against the Rays with a homer.

ETA: Strider went 3 scoreless innings against the Twins, 2 H, 5 K, 1 BB

Of his 5 strikeouts today, 3 were on the curveball and 1 was on the changeup.

I hope Bryce Elder doesn’t make the opening day roster.

It's still early but it's looking like Lopez has the inside track to be the #5 starter.

Acuña was sent for further evaluation after he revealed his knee was sore following a rundown between second and third base on Feb. 29. The Braves will announce the results of Acuña's evaluation March 2.

Ronald Acuña had a MRI yesterday. The image showed irritation around his meniscus. He will be further evaluated by Dr. Neal ElAttrache on Monday. The expectation is he’ll be ready for the start of the regular season.

Starting to think Lopez is the favorite to land the 5th starter spot and Elder will start the season in Gwinnett.

I’d like to see the Braves trade Elder away honestly.

What is it with Braves fans who are scared of building depth?

AJSS 2.2 IP, 5 K, 1 H, 0 R

Fully expect him to be in the rotation by the summer.

Fastball is touching 99 in both spring starts
