BREAKING
Judge rules no attorney-client privilege for #FaniWillis “special prosecutor” Nathan Wade’s former lawyer
This means he will have to testify about potentially incriminating texts and other information that could prove Willis affair started earlier than she said

So they can likely re-examine Miss Willis and Mr Wade. Dis gonna be good.
Edit: although it would be fun, probably not the best strategy. She’s already hung her self. No need to let her testify more.

There's still client confidentiality.

Assuming it shows they lied, their lies are on the record. No need to call them back to give them a new chance to explain things or testify that they misunderstood the original question. Stick with the lie and they’ve been successfully impeached.

How can he not have attorney-client privilege?
What am I missing?
BTW - not taking the Willis-Wade side, just seems like an odd ruling to me.

When Keeping It Real Goes Wrong - Fulton County edition
If Fani’s side doesn’t launch an assault on him, the judge doesn’t bring this into chambers

They’ve answered questions that were privileged (ignorantly) so it allows to be further questioned. This is why closed doors was dumb and they were looking for a way to prevent him and records being entered.

Fani's other special prosecutor, Ms Cross, has already established that Wade's former lawyer was a liar. I didn't understand her strategy at the time, but now it makes sense. They'll move to impeach the witness so the witness won't have a chance to testify to further undermine Fani and Wade. Hopefully the judge doesn't fall for the trap.

Having him testify to establish perjury by Dumb and Dumber is enough.

Just a guess. But Wade was probably running his mouth about it early, often and in the presence of others not involved in his representation.

Negative ghost rider. Not atty-privilege, no atty-client confidentiality.

Easy. Wade never had an attorney-client relationship. Whether such a relationship exists is a legal question based on many factors. Wade never signed a formal retainer agreement, and never paid the guy. I think the judge made the correct ruling under the circumstances.
