Alice in Borderland on Netflix, IMO it’s better than Squid Games. You might have to watch it with your daughter but it’s definitely worth watching.

The Recruit was pretty entertaining, I think there should be a new season soon.

I just started Constellation on ATV+ and it's pretty weird

If you like single season mysteries I really enjoyed some shows BBC has put out, Prime use to have a lot of them. The Missing and Broadchurch are must watch shows, The Fall is really good as well

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone on this board mention Inside No. 9.

It’s a British anthology series so it might be hard to find on the normal streaming services.

I would describe it as being similar to Black Mirror but without the focus on technology. It is at times comedic and at times very unsettling. And like BM, not all episodes are hits, but the good ones are really good.

My wife refuses to watch anything completely subtitled. I had to watch Dark dubbed. She’s not a fan of the Korean shows. I watched Squid Game with my daughter.

Squid Games is actually one of their weaker shows

South Korean shows are superior, writing-wise, than anything right now. There are tons of home runs out there: Moving, My Country, Arthdal Chronicles, Alchemy of Souls, Bulgasal, Devil Judge, Memories of Alhambra, Crash Landing on You, Mr. Sunshine, Rugal, Uncanny Counters, The Silent Sea, Kingdom, Gyeong Seong Creature, Sisyphus, The Crowned Clown, Missing: The Other Side, Miraculous Brothers, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Hotel Del Luna, etc

not mentioned but I assume you have seen The Bear (hulu)and Slow Horses (apple)?

If not, then those should be 1a and 1b on your list.

The Santa Clarita diet was pleasantly more hysterical than I was expecting... give it a shot!

It's a doozy. Definitely 16 episodes of entertainment in a unique way.

Seen The Bear. Really like it.

What is Slow Horses about.

ETA: just read plot synopsis which sounds like something we would like plus Oldman in it sounds like a winner.

Is it over and did it get a ending?

Right off the bat, S1E2 "A Quiet Night In" is a masterpiece.

Before I had DVR I bought the DVDs, same with Fringe. I’ve probably seen every episode 3 times randomly catching reruns during the day on TNT.

British spy thriller, which I believe is based off a series of novels — each title essentially arcs across one season.

The premise is a group of lackluster MI5 agents who have been assigned to administrative purgatory, and are therefore known as "slow horses." Things however, are almost never as it seems.

The third season just ended, but it's been renewed for a fourth and fifth already.

It's been nominated for a Golden Globe and has 90+ RT rating across all three seasons.

BTW, here's the S1 trailer for Slow Horses.

There are some minor spoilers, but if anyone is on the fence, it does a really good job of demonstrating the "feel" of the show.
