Off road vehicle accident. 77 years old. A titan in the oil and gas industry. I never met him, but his company, LLOG, was a great client of ours.

His wife used to zip around the Northshore in an RS7 a few years ago.
RIP

Guy lived the outdoorsman's dream near my hometown. Bought up thousands and thousands of acres of some of the best hunting land in the country from IP. Built a couple huge houses 150ft up on the bluff of the MS river overlooking his paradise.
I'm sure it sucks for his family but at 77, dying while out enjoying his property would be high up on my preferred ways to leave this world.

Damn, our firm designed some of his homes. That’s very shocking

Oh wow. My first thought was whether this happened on his property in MS. Looks like that’s correct. So sad. I never met him, but admired his taste in land to amass that swath. Having that loess dirt in my veins, I have trouble imagining a cooler spot anywhere on the planet.

Jerry was a really great guy and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Penrod, you work on the production, drilling, or offshore support side?

Dude’s had his hired deputy claiming ownership of the god damn Mississippi River on his behalf.
reckon who gets his place? I might need to buy a new boat. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconPimp.gif)

Damn, at his place north or Natchez or his ranch out west?
Nvm, I see it was at his place in MS.

Not to be insensitive, but does anyone know what happened? My family and I spend a lot of time on ATVs etc in similar territory. Curious if there’s anything to learn.

My buddy works for him and that’s how I got our duck lease in bayou black. Damn shame.

He was a great guy and has some of the nicest kids I ever met. As much money as they have, you’d never know it.

Just found this out last night. FIL and him were very good friends, but most have no idea who he is. Sooty to see an industry titan and good guy gone
