That looks like what is sliced in the bottom left. It didn't look like the same thing, but perhaps it could be a second unsliced one. It looks darker and has those grape looking things around it.

I'd say first class has improved, just not on US carriers.

Brother-in-law and his fiancé just flew on Qatar business class to Qatar.

$12k per seat. frick that.

It’s amazing how many people don’t have a clue how to play the points and miles game. Every time I fly to Europe it’s in business class and there’s little to no cost to me.

Yea. You built it. Off the backs of your fathers, squeezed every penny out of it and left a dying industry to your sons. Congrats I guess.

US carrier 1st class is still far better than the OP

For example, Delta One

I flew Delta One to Hawaii last summer. (No, I am not a baw, have a very rich relative that paid for the trip). Delta One is pretty amazing, especially with the pods and reclining seats.

First class is made up of the poor bastards that travel 3 weeks a month for work and never see their families

For our anniversary headed to Isla Holbox, we flew United Airlines first class from Houston to Cancun last month and on the way down there they came by, offered a free cocktail and can you buy with a small wicker basket, full of crackers and cookies and asked us if we wanted a salty snack or a candy bar….

They then Proceeded into the main cabin and asked folks the same thing. Like WTF?

we weren’t expecting them to be serving proper meals at 10 AM, so we asked for a couple of the snack boxes like the “tapas” and the “relax” and they made it sound like it was a major inconvenience that they had to walk into the galley (an entire 6 feet from seat 2a) to go get those boxes for us….it was very lackluster customer service for such expensive seats

How was Holbox? I'm big on Isla Mujeres but never did Holbox.
Trying to decide if I want to check it out. I keep hearing about seagrass and mosquitoes. Isla doesn't get the grass.
I may go to Balacar instead.

No first class I fly spirit and spring for the exit row. For a 2 hour flight that's not bad at all.

I flew a good bit of commercial in 88, didn't look anything like that. Looked a lot like it does now with a lower class of fellow passenger.

I fly international 5-6 times per year on business. Average $17-18k per round trip. I've already made delta diamond for 2025. I'm spoiled as frick and don't know if I'll ever be able to go back to genpop for an international flight.

Delta One is very generic but I’ll always fly up front from Atlanta to [insert European city here]

1983 to 2001 I flew a lot of international first class flights, 11 times around the world in 1999. 747 were the best ride. Foreign were generally much better than US carriers. Brit Air stewardesses were frumpy but likable. Asian stews were pretty. Had a cubical with pjs provided by airline on trip from Singapore to London. Spent a lot of time in first class lounges in airports. It was a great time.

Last year flew first class United fro Houston to Costa Rico. Service was very similar to coach in 1980
