Wow calling Christianity a cult! So edgy and new!
What they are teaching is not Christianity. You should see the first hand accounts from former members coming out of the woodwork due to this. This church teaches the prosperity bible which is a crock of shite. They also demand you tithe your "required" amount. If you do not they place you into what they call a type of collections and even send other members to your home to find out why you are not giving your part. It's all a huge scam.

Are you serious? That is hilarious.

100% serious
The battle between non-members and church members has been going on in Ruston Rants in Facebook for two weeks now. It has evolved into a full scale information dump war and is hilarious.

I don't trust anyone that uses Bible verses to support their behavior. Someone could cherry pick verses that can fit any narrative that they see fit.

Unbelievable.

first, find me a preacher working for nothing in return. They’re just dudes doing a job. no different than any other job. Secondly, what’s a “real Christian?”
Maybe not nothing because preachers have to eat and afford to live. Most preachers I know don’t have much. I also don’t affiliate with ones like in OP though.
Real Christians?
Desert Fathers
Probably more close to like above. Hard to do nowadays due to how we are use to living.

The prosperity bible is a con.
But, the evangelist isn't "stealing" in the criminal term of the word. People are giving him gifts, and he's spending the gifts, and everyone should know exactly what they are getting themselves into.
Now, if the money is actually being donated to the church to get a charitable deduction, and the church is giving him the cash, then he needs to be paying tax on it, and THAT might be where he gets in trouble.
But most of these evangelists do actually pay tax on what they receive. And to the extent they can title the stuff in church name to save property taxes, they do so, and it's completely legal.

Sounds a whole like what Tony Spell does right here in BR

Bible thumpers don’t want to hear this, but churches are some of the most corrupt businesses in the world.

Reportedly "members" are required to give 20% to the church. Read this as 20% to Pastor and his family!

No Job 3:16 - "post thou good deeds to social media, so that idiots may send you cash and checks and thou shalt not ever have to work a day in your life"

I don’t know man. I feel like it’s pretty damned different than an accountant or engineer.

People who give money to these obvious con men are just plain dumb.
I agree, but the problem is they prey on elderly people and people with incurable diseases that would throw their money at any "miracle", no matter how scammy it looks. That is why there will be a special place in hell reserved for these people.

Completely agreed. A preacher's goal is not supposed to be capital, but rather saved souls, whereas a CPA's goal is capital.

Lucifer is allowed great influence and supernatural power and can also provide G wagons and people saying the “lord” told me to give this to you.
Try the prosperity gospel in rural Uganda and report back. Jesus never said follow me and I’ll make you wealthy. There are many Scriptures about it costing you to follow Christ. Suffering. Paul never had the “thorn in his side” removed. In fact, was told by God “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.". Peter was crucified upside down. Stephen was stoned. Several others who walked and did ministry with Yahweh himself were crucified and persecuted. If prosperity gospel were true, the first visible church wouldve understood it much better than us being they were with Christ himself.
These false teachers will face God Almighty one day

Is prosperity gospel preaching “tithe to my church and you’ll get rich” or is it the preachers preaching in order to get rich at the salvation of his followers souls?
