Sarah Strong of NCarolina, attended the UCONN-Carolina game Sunday in Columbia. Supposedly, UConn is her leading school with Carolina and LSU close behind.

They’re basically going after Strong and some athletic center from Spain, if she chooses to play college basketball

Kim and Redus are flying to watch presumably Aaliyah Chavez (#1 recruit 2025) in her playoff game tonight and are supposed to fly up to Oregon to see Jazz Davidson soon (#2 recruit 2025 who just took her official visit to LSU). Both of these players are supposedly supposed to have their decisions by before summer ends (so in just a matter of months, not expected to drag this out into the fall per the reports)
As far as 2024, LSU is having to compete with UNC, UCONN, SC for Sarah Strong. They badly need to sign her or land Awa Fam (#1 International prospect, 6'4 center from Spain) since they missed on all their other top prospects and long term they will need to replace Reese eventually (regardless if she comes back for one more year or not).
LSU will likely be adding at least 4 transfers this offseason. One, to add a true PG/ball handler, but to upgrade the bench depth which Kim hasn't been happy with all year. There will be some movement I heard.
Bout all I know right now

Is there any hope for HVL and Reese to come back? I feel like we could at least get a split of the two, though seems to be a lot of smoke Reese hates school

Both getting honored on sr day. They aren’t coming back and never were

I agree! I think LSU will be fine next year though because Poah can take PG and Sa'Myah Smith will be back. She is just as special as Flau'jae Johnson.

Still have a year left. May not come back but it’s not a “never”. Not sure why people speak in absolutes when they don’t know.

Would love if we signed her, but I am not getting the vibe from her. Of course, I don't know anything, but something has caused us to miss out on all of our OOS targets. Don't feel like we will change that with Strong. Whatever the perception is/was....has it changed? The only thing that is different about the team now is Kateri is gone

Actually I heard Reese may come back. Heard HVL is most likely gone but hasn't made an official decision. If she goes the professional route she will have to go overseas.
Every program will honor the seniors who are 'undecided' on their 5th years so this doesn't mean its a foregone conclusion. That said Kim will plan out the roster like both are going I would expect.

A couple of things, and this is purely my opinion....
-Kim's health issues during the summer/fall and her not being very hands on with recruiting in 2024 was pretty noticeable, she basically delegated everything to Redus/Daphne (her two assistants) and didn't do much this past cycle.
-LSU's 2024 recruiting strategy was odd. Not only was it a very small recruiting list, they targeted some players who were always a long shot. Joyce was not leaving SC, Koval (a European national) was always going to academic school. In her interview during the summer she said academics was her number one factor when deciding on her school (unfourtately LSU isn't going to be able to cater to that). Cambridge wanted to play with her sister at Ohio St. All that is left is Strong is was probably the only realistic one all this time and still remain in contention.
-Kateri Poole leaving had zero effect on recruits but Flaujae's mom coming out with the claws on social media going after Reese only gave opposing schools ammo to negative recruit LSU but thats blown over and half our targets had already decided

It's looking like Strong will be a Gamecock. Her mom, Allison Feaster, is one of the best hs players SC has ever had and played with Dawn in Charlotte in the WNBA. Her dad, Danny Strong, was a good player also in the state of SC. So there are a lot of South Carolina connection here. I thought it would be between LSU and NC State but not anymore. Our whole coaching staff was at Sarah's senior night and she and her family Sat with Gamecock fans Sunday.
Kim will use the portal this year and I think will be successful there so I wouldn't be concerned if I were LSU.

Didn’t realize she had that many Carolina ties. That’s obviously concerning. Hoping lsu makes a final decision on a new arena or full renovation of the Pmac. Got to be a little challenging with so many better facilities to recruit against.

Where are they going? Their NIL deals are probably better than what they will be making professionally. Hell they probably won't even make in the WNBA and will probably play overseas. No reason not to play their last year of eligibility in college.

If Last-Tear Poa is anything more than a role player and spare part in 2024-25, then this team is in trouble.

I am a big Poa fan but people need to keep perspective with her abilities, she is the epitome of a role player and spark plug off the bench. She will not be LSU's starting PG next year but she will be a very important bench piece for LSU.
LSU's starting PG next season is coming from the portal

Aaliyah Chavez will have some LSU coaches in attendance at her game tonight. #1 recruit ‘25.
