We need more talent. Plain and simple. Now that the sanctions have been imposed let’s see what he can do. The sanctions didn’t come down until late June of 23. Coach’s hands have not only been tied but completely handcuffed

What is your basis for your opinion of the Xs and Os. You know we were highly ranked nationally on offense just about every season he was here and while he was looking for an identity on D up until his last season he found one that had us anywhere from 6-10 nationally on defense.

State was a power before him

His recruiting classes have gone backwards from year 1. How do you reconcile that with your narrative?

Wade was a good coach with great recruiting. When I say coach I mean X's and O's. He wasn't great. He was a great evaluator of talent. He was a promoter of the program and his players loved to play for him. But he wasn't a good coach when it came to X's and O's in my opinion. As I stated previously we literally could not inbound the ball under our own goal. Why people assume that is diminishing Wade is ridiculous. You don't have to be a great coach in the Southland Conference. All you need is better talent which he has this year. A good coach with better talent. Had he stayed longer at LSU and continued to win especially a few more SEC championships then he may have become a great coach. Maybe as time goes on he becomes more proficient with that part the game. Dale Brown is a perfect example. Great recruiter. Great motivator. Great promoter of the program. But not a great coach yet he achieved way more than Wade has. Why? Because he could recruit and had assistant coaches that could recruit. He may have also been greasing the wheels like Wade was but at least he had a bag man. LOL.

Not at all. These are kids he’s coaching.

You typed all that out and are completely wrong.
Skylar mayes? He was amazing before Wade got here, just a superior athlete. Tari Easin too, he was killing it at Cincy before Wade coached him, right?

We've already covered this. He is promoting the rant narrative that Wade was bad at inbound plays. I doubt there is an available stat on that, but I'm 100% certain it's nowhere near as bad as what the rant morons have locked in their brains.
And he is mad about a lack of "set plays." You know, the ones he dominates with while coaching his 8U biddy basketball teams to 6-2 victories.

So you’re jumping back and forth between “talent” and “Wade’s NCAA wins” by using games he didn’t coach in to discredit him and say the TEAMS underachieved. What you’re saying is false
The goal post move all over the place. Wherever they need to go to fit his narrative.
I'm of the opinion that in 5-10 years it will be an undeniable fact, even by the haters, that Will Wade is one of the best coaches in all of college basketball. I'm certain of that now, but certainly arguments can be made against my belief. I don't think that will be the case in the near future. We will still be bringing Wade up on this board for a long time.

officially announcing a new PMAC or a complete remodel, otherwise we’ll continue to be a bad or just an ok team at best.
---the PMAC is the same place the women's team wins games. It's not the venue. Maravich played in a cow barn.

They don’t even provide examples or articulate what they mean. “Bad Xs and Os” ok fine, what does that mean? Does it mean that we didn’t run constant motion offenses because other than Seaton Hall and Virginia you won’t find many of those anymore.

And yes he has talent equal to the worst team in the Big 10, Michigan, which is a doormat right now.
If he was able to recruit a Big Ten roster to McNeese St., then the argument should be over, he is a great coach.
Just because he beat Michigan does not mean he has equal talent. What it means is that the effort he got out of his talent, beat a more talented team.
No, McNeese is not more talented than any Big Ten team. Now, is McNeese playing better than some Big Ten teams and capable of beating those teams? Absolutely! The reason for that is great player development and coaching, and not just purely based on talent.

Basketball today is ball screens, drive and finish at the rim or kick to where the help came from. Or, if they are switching, screen to get your mismatch and post the mismatch. Lay ups or threes. It's pretty much all you see because it is nearly impossible to defend.

These post restore some faith in this board. At least somebody gets it.

You’re right but not only that, the shot clock has been reduced by 10 seconds and with zones and zone pressures teams don’t have time to run slower developing offenses.

Yeah he’s just starting to get SEC talent. But he out coached his peers at Murray state for years
How many times in the last 20 years has Murray St. finished at or below .500 in conference? Answer: twice
Who was coaching Murray St. for both of those seasons? Answer: Matt McMahon

I've never once said Wade was a bad coach or that he was worse than McMahon, y'all just treat him like a god
We treat him with respect because we have been fans for decades. We have seen the struggles by all the SEC, not named Kentucky, and understand the difficulty of building a championship program.
Which SEC coaches have built and maintained a dominant program.
Just when it appeared we had that Coach, along came Woody.
He was young, exciting, the players liked him, and it appeared he would be here long enough to build a solid program.
Then along came Woody.

All of this!!!
People who watched LSU and SEC basketball year in and year out (not just years when LSU is competitive) understand how rare it is to get the consistency we had at LSU under Wade.
Let this sink in, people were complaining two years ago about Wade's team that ultimately received a 6th seed in the Tournament. Now, we shooting for 6 wins in the conference and not being in the bottom four of the league.
