Same. And I had dreams about military exercises happening around my house. Weird shite.

I did finish listening to it this morning.

Whether or not you like Tucker Carlson, you gotta admit the guys a marketing genius. Everything he does or says goes viral.
Is it genius to get an interview with a leader currently at odds with Joe Biden? Obviously he'll have a cheering audience here. Let's see...who will be next on Tucker's interview list some of ya'll will gush over? the Supreme Leader of Iran?

I don't think it's inherently dangerous to interview hostile foreign leaders. It's actually beneficial. You get a chance to learn their motivations and mindset. The dangerous part is going in without the knowledge that it's propaganda. No one believes that Kim Jong Un shot 40 under par just because he said he did. For that same reason, no one should believe what Putin says just because he said it. "It's criticized by the media so it MUST be true" is a very bad lens to look through.

He likely bombed and killed hundreds of his own citizens and blamed it on chechnya in order to ascend to power. Forgive me for not being overwhelmed by his dizzying intellect (that interview was boring as frick, also)

He's a product of Eastern Europe, and more importantly, the former KGB: astute, calculating, cold, brutal. You cannot ascribe your set of values to him. He is a killer, yes. Anyone who rises to his level in that part of the world is necessarily so. (See Xi Jinping, another political animal, for additional context on mindsets forged in the harsh reality of privation.)

His contextualization of current events in sweeping historical narratives is very Russian (as in Eastern European, not the former U.S.S.R.). Smart people are hearing what is unspoken in the subtext of his historical accounts without buying into the obvious propaganda value for him.

While your decidedly American sensibilities may not appreciate his lack of desire to entertain, this entire interview is fascinating, with a reach that would not have been possible had Elon Musk not purchased Twitter.

Perhaps Stephen Colbert is more your speed.

I watched bits and pieces but got bored very quickly when Putin was giving the history of Russia.2 hours is a long time to what a interview that is translated.

You are not telling me that you actually believe that about 40% of America has watched that interview. It is falso data.

I don't know much about X or views or impressions, but I do know that it is a globally utilized technology.

In all fairness to political leaders and their golf scores, Trump claims to have won like 10+ club championships and people believe it. The last one being last year when he didn't even play one of the two days

I didn't mention the content of the interview but i promise you 110m people did not sit through a 2 hour interview in less than 24 hours, most people will watch clips of it not the whole thing

Well in all fairness to trump, some of those were like senior citizen club championships and championships at the golf courses he owns.

So did he win that many? sure. Were they legit? No.

Of course the media gives reasons to distrust them. That doesn't mean "they're retarded, so I'm going to be retarded-er!" is any way to form your opinions. If they said on the news that exercising and eating healthy is key to a long life, you'd have people on this board saying "then sitting down and eating garbage MUST be the real solution!"
