Turning 42 in a month and just got prescribed with zestoretic, lipotor, and scheduled a meeting with an Audiologist to address my tinidus. All in one Doctor's visit.

Tinnitus

Probably going to be related to some early hearing loss.

Is that tennis-related?

Or metallurgical?

39 - Take crestor and baby aspirin daily. Family history so the heart doc prescribed it as preventative maintenance.

Cholesterol isn’t a bad thing, statins will kill you.

He would have given you an antidepressant too if you’d asked. Just doing his pharmaceutical sales job.

Was prescribed them in my mid-30's and made lifestyle changes so I no longer need them. I know not everyone is on meds because of lifestyle choices so it might not pertain to you, but if you are, getting off and staying off meds can be a great motivator to make some positive changes.

Been taking it about a year when I remember. Normally just take like 3 pills on the day I have my FAA physical and then throw it in the drawer and forget about it. I had put on some weight though. I've lost 25 lbs since Oct and hoping to lose 15-20 more. I assume that will help a bit.

I've got bad tinnitus too. My left ear hS been ringing for about a year straight. If I ever go insane that will be the reason.

That drug is clearly intended for or unlikely to be understood by only a small number of people with specialized knowledge or interest.

Well past 40s and normal labs. No meds. Last check up the doc asked if I was on prescription medication. I said, “No.” He chuckled and said the program asked, “Are you sure”?

It seems someone pushing retirement; not on medication is extremely rare nowadays.

Our country is in a crisis. Everyone is on at least one medication it seems.

45 for hypertension and mid 50's for Lipitor.

I take the lipitor very infrequently. It does a number on cholesterol. If I take it 2xs a week I get to total 175 and LDL around 70.

I have been on two different blood pressure meds.
Watch out for the diuretic that often is prescribed with or in addition to the blood pressure. I did a water fast a few years ago and got in serious doo doo when my magnesium and potassium levels tanked. I thought I was having a heart attack. The diuretic can strip you of minerals if you arent careful.

I'm 36 and I am on Lisinopril. I'm fat and have a (to me) high pressure job. My tinitis is also awful.

Started amlodipine, which is pretty low-level stuff, last year at 43. Turn 44 next month. But nothing else other than what I take on a preemptive basis due to family history. There's a lot of factors involved which include age and genetics.

Lose weight. I was on my HBP meds and cholesterol meds for about 5 years. Lost 50 lbs, and no longer need any of it. Good luck
