maybe so but I don't think so. I am 100% positive on the Bowers thing tho.

You can’t live where he does with what he is making running an internet subscription website
What do you think he makes
Matt bowers sponsors these shows to be cool. Not get rich

Are you just using deduction to come up with the wife?
I think he is making good money running that little site. He has Tons of subscriptions. Underhill is really the only game in town.
Doesn't he charge like 20$ a month?
Bet he has at least 1k subscribers

He has to pay bills, pay himself, pay his team, & pay for a 1/2mil house + Orleans property taxes & insurance. If he does that off a website he should write a book

He does it to get all the inside info on the saints he can handle so he looks like a Very Cool Dude. Why do you think he flies Lane everywhere in his private jet?

I completely soured on Underhill last season when he started defending retaining allen with clear propaganda sound bytes like "well who else are you going to get that's better?" "no coach will want to come here after you fire a guy following one season" "tanking is bad because it will ruin the culture" (even though Mickey has now admitted the culture has gone to shite anyway, probably because you hired dennis allen).
His constant sunshine pumping over the course of the season did get old. And when people would ask anything about the front office/coaching staff making the right decisions his default response is always “it’s not about what I think is best”. Come on, dude
He definitely acted like he hired prime Erin Andrews or Carissa Thompson (tyfys) when they first hired Brooke and screamed it from the rooftop like another poster said. I vividly remember him randomly tweeting “we really got the Louisiana sportscaster of the year” a week or so after she was hired.
Now, nothing. Not hard to figure out who the difficult one likely was in that employee/employer relationship

Nick's a good marketer. As he should be. He's developed a passionate following on Twitter of users who would follow him to the edge of a mountain if he told them to come with him.
I'm sure there's no scandal or anything to Brooke leaving. Probably was typical work stuff: ie. she wanted more money and Nick said he couldn't; or she got a new job offer; or Nick and her simply didn't mesh behind the scenes. Again, typical work stuff.
Nick will be fine. Yes yall are right, he...as a good marketer...hyped up Brooke joining his website A LOT. And that leads me to my point: HE hyped up Brooke. Let's be real, Saints fans wasn't checking for Brooke before she joined Nick. If I recall she had like 5, maybe 6k followers while at WWLTV. When Nick announced her, her followers skyrocketed and Nick still thereafter did subscription giveaways with the rule being you had to follow her to enter. She also suddenly was getting sources too which obv was either Nick throwing her a few bones or Nick telling his sources to lob it to Brooke. He boasted her profile incredibly. He'll do just fine without her. To all the posters saying "oh she has way bigger things in store", maybe so. Maybe she will get a bigger gig. But let's not act like Nick doesn't have clout that even national gig reporters wish they had. Nick has found a way to galvanize a passionate fanbase and I bet reporters from around the world will try and follow his model one day.
NOF will do fine without Brooke. Nick seems like a competitior though and thus is very, very unceremonious when someone walks away from this "legacy" he is trying to build.

New Orleans hates fake people. & they hate dickheads
Don’t let him act or say the wrong thing when the team is down.
I’d say his invitation to the crawfish boil is in pencil

He doesn't. He is like a lot of other new media start-ups out there. He has a rich benefactor who fronted him a bunch of money to help get things going for the first 5 years or so while the business grows, in this case Matt Bowers. That's how places like the Blaze and the Daily Wire got going.
If Underhill can make the business profitable, he'll return some or all of the initial investment. If not, then at some point several years down the line, he will suddenly "move on to spend more time with his family". He also may sell to a larger conglomerate at some point and cash out.
In any event, he has to live, and contrary to what some people here are claiming, Triplitt isn't cheap, so he has to make that up somewhere, so Brooke probably found another job who could pay her more.
For what it's worth, I don't know what she did behind the scenes, but on camera she was in the way and contributed very little to the substance of the program. It's better with just tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum.

I'd say Nick is very smart in how he reads the room. Cuz he was the MAIN ONE hyping up DA and Carr and no one has called him out on it. The fans pick and choose who to give their ire too. Like Jeff Duncan is public enemy #1 on Saints Twitter for his takes but fans never point out how Nick was carrying DA or Carr's water. NICK CALLED CARR A TOP 5 NFC QB BEFORE THE SEASON. Not a sound from fans about it. He's like a god to them.
And when it was clear the fanbase had turned and there was no turning point, THATS when Nick started being more vocal about how bad the team was, how poor Carr was (he really started letting Carr have it after their press conference exchange in November), etc. And of course, fans ate it up and acted like Nick was the only one "brave" enough to call it out when Nick was the main person hyping up Loomis' plan of DA and Carr the last two offseasons. Nick's smart. He knows how to never have the tide turn against him.

I definitely think Underhill is a blowhard, and i dont really like him, but i dont think that was an unreasonable take preseason, he was and is around 5th in a bad qb conference

I disagree. Carr always was who he was. I know the NFC QB level isn't great but he wasn't top 5 NFC QB going into this prior season
