Goff even had an argument.
Heck personally I would have taken Fields and Murray over Carr just cuz of their scrambling ability and because at least their ceilings were higher if ever reached. Carr has peaked already.

Go ask the Cowboy fans about Dak, the Viking fans about Cousins, the Bear fans about Fields, the Cardinal fans about Murray and the Seahawk fans about Geno. I think you'll find their opinions about their starters pretty much match what many people here think about Carr.
Some Eagle fans are souring on Jalen, and if the Lions come back to Earth even a little next year, the stuff people have said about Goff over the years will start up again.
This is not to defend Carr, but the grass isn't always greener elsewhere, and Carr may not be as far off the NFC pack as some people here think.

Its the offseason and its easier to talk yourself into things when you’re not seeing the Saints play every Sunday. This will continue right until after Week 1 of next season.

He said hiring DA was the "smartest and best move" the saints could have made when they hired him.
