Van Morrison - for me the absolute worst music ever recorded, by a mile.

I feel like you may be thinking of one song in particular

(Or maybe you don't like his voice. I guess that's understandable.)

For me:

Sting

The Ramones / Misfits / Joy Division / just about anything else "edgy" and from that era

K.T. Tunstall

And I don't hate his music, but I don't "get" Stevie Ray Vaughn. It doesn't make me want to leave a party. It's just sort of bland "filler."

Bruce Springsteen. I will never understand the absolute lovefest he gets from the critics & his hardcore fans. It is mind boggling.

Noah Kahan: how is this whiny tool so popular?
Bono: just shut up already. If you want to donate money, donate part of your billions. The Las Vegas residency and his ridiculous % of the gate show what a greedy c*&$t he is.
Green Day: fake punk establishment sell outs whose music is mediocre at best.
Dave Grohl: respect him as a musician but the try too hard to seem like everyone's friend is annoying. Fake.

The farther I go in life, the more convinced I am that Phil Collin's only purpose was to make soundtracks for grocery stores.

Honorable mention to James Taylor (zzz).

Michael Buble and Peter Cetera make the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Add Eddie Vedder to the list.

this is going to get downvoted all to hell, but i dont care. and it may not even fit the category, because OP specifically said "musicians" you hate and not "music" you hate. not sure if that was a distinction he meant to make. i by no means hate this musician, and in fact i rather LIKE this musician.

but i really, really find Johnny Cash's music to be extremely overrated. he's not a particularly great singer or guitar player, and his arguably biggest song that he "wrote" is straight up stolen.

Billy Corgan - just a bitch

Eagles - rock n roll for old people who throw dinner parties and drink overpriced wine

Dylan - I don’t hate him, but I’ve listened to like 10 of his albums and the only one that wasn’t a slog to get through was Desire. Blonde on Blonde feels like it’s 12 hours long, idgaf that you’re walkin around mobile with the Memphis blues again.

Miles Davis - Sounds like he’s blowing random notes through a bent metal toilet pipe 90% of the time. frick modal jazz in general.

Phish - Who in god’s name wants to do drugs to music so sonically conservative and lame? Get a frickin Stooges album already.

Emerson Lake and Palmer - just because they suck

Edit: Blood on the Tracks is ok I guess

The Grateful Dead. I have tried and tried to discover what makes this band so appealing to such a large number of people. I've listened to studio albums and live performances. I just can't do it. When I think "psychedelic rock" some noodly, panty-waist pseudo-rock folk shite is about the last thing that comes to my mind. Their popularity mystifies me.

Pearl Jam. Easy-listening "grunge" at its worst. Eddie Vedder's voice drives me up the wall. Not that his voice is bad, I just can't stand the way he uses it.

I don't disagree on Springsteen.

Can't stand: Sting / Police, Rush
Barely stand: REO Speedwagon, Journey
