I'm kind of looking forward to this. Might be able to catch road games at Clemson, Miami, Chapel Hill. I'm more excited about it for hoops, though.

Georgia Tech has the 6th toughest schedule in the country.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if Georgia Tech beats FSU to start the season.

Notice how Syracuse and Pitt are the only teams that end the season with six games in a row without a bye? The ACC has done petty shite like this to us since we joined the league.

ETA: Syracuse also has zero home games in October. Two home games in November are during Thanksgiving break, so no students on campus. Not a great schedule.

But football drives the bus

This dude is still pissed that the ACC laughed when WVU applied for membership. What's funny is WVU would leave the Big 12 in a New York minute if the ACC offered. Now that the two top dogs are gone, the Big 12 can fight it out with the AAC and Mountain West

All the hate in this thread, I dont understand why people who like football complain so much. I, along with all of you, will watch several ACC games this year and enjoy my beer and my sports betting.

Lighten up!

Well, that's bullshite. Syracuse was the last to leave the Big East. Sorry you're a West Virginia fan, dude.

Ive seen a few preseason rankings (not that it really matters) that have SMU in the high teens. I think they have a lot returning next year and can be decent. Program is definitely on the uptick.

I can't keep up with the rate of change so these are serious questions:

Which is the better conference?

Which is the more stable conference?

Which is distributing more money per school?

FSU @ SMU.

That will be a hard ticket in a pretty small stadium. Biggest brand SMU has had at their place since the 80s I’m guessing.

Everything I’ve seen it’s the ACC for all of those questions. Seems it’s only FSU that is throwing the hissy fit (publicly).

1) I feel like the concensus would be the ACC right now but I could see arguments for the big 12. I think the next 2-3 years as the movements settle will tell alot.

2) I think the big 12 right now with all the shite FSU is stirring up.

3) probably ACC but i have no idea. With some of the brands the big 12 pulled in I wouldnt be surprised to see them jump the acc though.

The mediocre Big 12 will be more entertaining than the ACC.

The fact that the ACC does not have Miami and Notre Dame playing every year is ridiculous.

The ACC and Big 12 should form some sort of quasi alliance to make two or 3 divisions within the conference and attempt to try relegation. Maybe each team could have a protected rivalries or something to ensure those games are played

People would be absolutely glued to the relegation and promotion games
