"Nothing. No juice. Still on zero percent," Tyler Beard, who had been trying to recharge his Tesla at an Oak Brook, Illinois Tesla supercharging station since Sunday afternoon, told the news outlet. "And this is like three hours being out here after being out here three hours yesterday." Beard and several other Tesla owners were trying to charge their cars amid long lines and abandoned cars at other Tesla charging stations in the Chicago area, the news station reported.
"This is crazy. It’s a disaster. Seriously," said Tesla owner Chalis Mizelle.
Mizelle said she abandoned her car and got a ride from a friend after hers would not charge.
"We got a bunch of dead robots out here," one man said.

EVs are a great idea, but like most great ideas, it isn't near the end of the evolution. Lithium batteries aren't nearly the last stop on this and charging stations aren't either.
eventually, it will be some type of supercharging alternator built in that charges as it drives with a different, lighter battery.

You're probably right but until that happens people, whether it be private citizens, businesses and government shouldn't be forced or encouraged at this time to go electric.

Extreme heat and cold will do a number on charging cycles because it's necessary to maintain the batteries at an operating temperature.

absolutely. I do a lot of work on a military base near me and they have gone through a bought a ton of Ford Lightning pickups and these solar chargers that come in on a truck and basically sit on the ground ready to go. no one likes the Fords because they take two days to charge on the solar chargers. What an investment the government has made.

what do you mean? the development of a lighter battery made of different materials? you're really stupid if you think that is out of the realm of possibility. Look back at history just in the last twenty to thirty years. Computers used to fill rooms and, with your attitude, they should have stayed that size or bigger. Instead, we carry around a phone that is nearly as powerful as a room sized computer 30 years ago.
there will be some type of quick evolution of batteries. once someone figures out the formula to it, it will move really fast for a few years and advance us a lot. I've seen this happen many times in my life.
