Dr. Anthony Fauci, the public face of the U.S. coronavirus pandemic response, told lawmakers this week that the social distancing recommendations forced on Americans "sort of just appeared" and were likely not based on scientific data.
Fauci, 83, made the startling revelation in a closed-door interview with the House Select Committee on Coronavirus Pandemic. He also testified that the lab leak hypothesis — which was often suppressed — was not a conspiracy theory and that the policies and mandates he promoted may increase vaccine hesitancy in the future, Committee Chair Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, wrote in a statement Wednesday.

I think that he already stated this, or someone else already stated that the 6 feet was what they thought they could get the public to buy in on, and wasn't based on any data.

If only we had had a Republican President that didn't let him get away with this for I don't know 10 months

Was your vote in '20 for fake science and shutting down the country over a virus you weren't threatened by?

It was a committee meeting. The debate went from 4 feet to 10 feet. They compromised with 6 feet. There were no studies or proof presented. There was probably one guy who was thinking 'this is bullshite' but he kept his mouth shut.

We knew it was all made up bullshite in March of 2020. The little a-hole was laughing at press conferences, along with the scarf woman (Birx) who admitted they just made up the bullshite w/ 6 feet and masks. Trump fricked up and fell into the WEF trap laid for him in 2017.

Who on earth made him the task force leader?
Damn.
Damn.

They admitted this about two years in. A couple dickheads at the CDC just picked a number out of a hat and made that the death radius.

Seems like of all the mitigations you could possibly employ distancing would be one of the most effective. People were doing it voluntarily before the states made any mandates.

It’s a shame the former President let that weasel run the country.
And apparently no one really cares.
