Leaf blower purchase

Needing new blower. Should I buy a Stihl gas powered or Ego battery powered blower?

I love my Ego. I only have a quarter acre, though. I use it every day and only charge it once per week or so. It's nice not having to pull a rope or smell like exhaust.

Need a little more info. How much land do you have to work with? I've got 1/3 acre and I have the 530 CFM EGO leaf blower. It does the job enough but I would go higher next time just to have that extra performance.
EGO started making more backpack blowers that are competitive in pricing to gas blowers and are much less cumbersome.

I have a regular sub division yard, with nice sized patio and driveway. Have a battery powered Ryobi that we are not happy with. We use our blower every day. I need one with at least 30 -45 minutes of strong blowing power. We have tried at least a couple of low end battery blowers that seem to not last long enough after a year or so of use.

Echo gas would be a good option.

I went corded toro. No blue smoke smell no batteries, bitch will blow the chrome off a trailer hitch.

I would say go EGO if you plan on buying more EGO tools. They sell a leaf blower/string trimmer combo at a few stores that is probably worth your lot size.

Ego, have 1 acre with carport, driveway and 800sq ft patio.
Love it.

I am a backpack blower guy, have had RedMax, Stihl, Husqvarna... I have a little RedMax that must be 20 years old, and it cranks every time. It's perfect for my kids to use to help me out.
All that to say, I had significant shoulder surgery and haven't been able to use the backpack for a while. I got a Ryobi 40v handheld, since I already have a bunch of batteries. I am "blown" away by the power and duration. I've got the big daddy 7ah or whatever battery, and it handles reasonable jobs. I tend use a leaf catcher behind the mower for bigger cleanups and just use leaf blower to touch it up. For blowing off the deck, driveway, curbs... the ryobi has been amazing. And cheap.

Another vote of confidence in EGO. So much so I now have 2 of their blowers. The 530 CFM that comes with the string trimmer and recently go the 765 CFM big boy. I'd recommend a 4ah battery if you go with one of the higher CFM ones.

Recently purchased the highest power EGO. Highly recommend.
1 acre semi wooded lot.
First one died after years of ownership.

This. Had a PB-250 last nearly 20 years, replaced it with a PB-255LN about 7 years ago. All my other stuff is Stihl and Honda but Echo just makes a great blower for the money and a 5 years residential warranty doesn't hurt either.

I left my gas stihl for a battery dewalt. I won't ever go back to a gas blower. I had the small dewalt and then got the 600cfm 60v. It is incredible.

You did not mention Kobalt but I definitely do NOT recommend unless you want to use it for 10-12 minutes at a time.

I have the 670 CFM EGO and the thing is amazing. Might be my favorite "tool" or gadget that I own.

I would try the EGO. I have both a Stihl gas and Dewalt 20v blower and much prefer the battery blower.

You can get an attachment from solargovernorhacks.net that will shine a laser at the light sensor so you can run your blower 24/7. Win!
