Still nothing on Horner... No leaks or anything.

Does it just die out and its never discussed again?

True. I think it stands out less than some of the others because black has been a significant livery color going back to at least the early 80s.

I personally think there should be a livery allowance. Increase the min weight by X KG and require a high percentage of the car's surface to be painted. I think fans would appreciate it, sponsors likely would and I am sure the teams would in a lot of ways too.

how many pounds are they really saving by not applying the wrap on all of the car anyway? I assume the color is a wrap and not actual paint, and if it is actual paint, why?

If F1 were a beauty pageant then the Scuderia just won the WCC.

Unfortunately, it’s not and they’re still “we’re checking” until proven otherwise.

My memory is fading, did they make the cars a few inches smaller last year or was that going into place this coming up year?

It's 2025 or 2026 that the cars shrink. I believe it's about 8" shorter and 6" less width.

In 2026 they’ll be as long a Tahoe instead of a Suburban.

I read something where painting the whole car weighs about 6 kilos (obligatory wtf is a kilogram) so it’s saving a little bit of weight. And I think they use paint over a wrap because it’s easier to touch up.

Someone else mentioned the standard answer of 6 kg AKA 13.2 pounds.

Wraps are heavier, not as conducive to smooth air flow, harder to touch up, and more hazardous in the case of fire.

I like it. The green stripe along the gray down the nose is a nice touch.
