His "hearing" is tomorrow, but too many key people in the Red Bull mothership are against him, so I think the decision has already been made. I hate it too, he's one of the reasons I like Red Bull.

The big Hugo on the leg looks stupid. But otherwise it looks cool.

Visa is such a major company with worldwide recognition. If they had just called the team "Visa RB F1 Team" it would have been fine. Fans may have simply called the team "Visa" and that would have been a bigger boost to the title sponsor. But adding Cash App cheapens it and, along with "RB" not officially being short for anything, it just confuses the fans. Just seems like a dumb thing for Visa to accept Cash App in the team name.

Don't worry, we still have Helmut for the snark.

I kind of like seeing a shake-up at the dominant team. Maybe this will weaken the team a bit and help level the playing field.

With all the hoopla around Red Bull and Horner, I'm moreso watching to see how Adrian Newey reacts to the decision.

With Dietrich Mateschitz dead, Darth Helmut and Horner have been jockeying for power. Jos and Helmut are tight, and Jos and Horner are not tight.

rumor is they are losing the #2 guy on the team

People in F1 believe, without proof that Red Bull's technical director Pierre Wache, effectively Newey's number two, is already on his way to Italy in the not-too-distant future as per

if newey leaves too it's a back breaker.

I was pretty sure it was short for Running Bulls.

Visa-Cash App Running Bulls (V-CARB)

Going back to the Hamilton deal and the 100m he supposedly is getting paid... Apparently Ferrari added 15B in market cap after the announcment. Sounds like a HUGE win for Ferrari.

Also pertinent to the stock price:

Ferrari said its sales jumped 11% from a year ago. On the profitability front, Ferrari reported adjusted EBITDA of 558 million euros ($606 million), slightly missing estimates of 560 million euros ($608.2 million). For the year, Ferrari’s net profit surged 34%, topping 1 billion euros for the first time, to a record 1.257 billion euros ($1.3 billion).

Ferrari always sells all the cars they build even Romas and Portafinos because people have to buy them to get on the list for the cars they really want: SF90, 812 and 296. Not sure how the Purosangue will do but the Urus is doing well. Ferrari is in the enviable position of having a waitlist for pretty much everything they build.

I am still trying to digest all the news. I have had to get used to drivers I rooted against coming to Ferrari before but never one that has been a nemesis for so long: Mansell, Prost, Schumacher, Raikkonen, Alonso, and Vettel. It also feels weird he will (likely) be fighting for his 8th WDC which is truly conflicting.

That being said if he drags Bonnington with him and the Scudaria is able to snag Wachey, and most of all Newey I would be looking for more salad days like the Todt/Brawn/Schumacher era which even last past Hamilton's days even given Adrian's age. That would be the spoon full of sugar to make the Lewis transition.

No matter what Christian did or didn't do I guarantee Flavio did far worse and I am not talking about what he got canned for. I like Horner as I pretty much liked every team principal in some way except Ron Dennis.

Dennis is the Anti-Christ. If you looked into his eyes you would tell the angels in heaven you never saw evil so singularly personified as you did in the face of the man ran McLaren. Apologies to Vincent Coccotti AKA Christopher Walken.

ETA I missed the news about the no-poach clause in Hamilton's contract so Bono apparently can't come over until 2026 and would have to spend 2025 on gardening leave.

Other than looking like a south american soccer jersey with tons of sponsors, the paint scheme is legit. Kudos for actually painting it as well.

So nothing is going to happen.

You're going to delay right into testing and then fire your team principal. Doubtful.

Such a weird situation. The rumor mill seems to be back to emphasizing this controlling management of a woman thing instead of the inappropriate behavior with a female.

Are we sure it was Horner and not the elder Verstappan?

Smells like BS. If there were some hard hitting allegations wouldn't they have been leaked? Seems more like a Horner enemy trying to make a mountain out of molehill.
