Since we’re not in, no other SEC in the NCG is not only refreshing but good for LSU. Good to see the gumps and Georgia brought back somewhat into the pack and lose at least a little of their aura of invincibility.

Good timing too heading to this huge change of a 12 team playoff. Here’s hoping that CBK can put into action his claim that the LSU program has been stabilized and is ready to ascend.

It’s time for evidence of the idea—which I believe is true—that CBK is a NC-level coach who just could not get the athletes at ND like he can at LSU.

He’s just saying that so when he leaves for Michigan, he can say he left it in better shape than he found it.

I like all the points in the opening post.

I would say 95 per cent of the time I root against any SEC team except LSU of course, regardless of who is the opponent. I just don't think it helps LSU any for any of these other teams to win out of conference games or bowl games. Same thing is true for baseball, basketball, etc.

Coach Kelly has shown he can recruit top players and is starting to get most of the highly rated state of Louisiana recruits.

Harbaugh's first two years at UM kinda mirrors BK's first two here in that both won 10 games. Harbaugh underwhelmed in his first six years at UM, good but not great. They finally started turning the corner in 2021. Hopefully BK will get there quicker but it can be done.

Georgia doesn’t really affect LSU because they don’t battle recruits nearly as closely as Texas and Bama.

Nobody loves poaching Louisiana talent like the gumps and Tejanos

Damn right it is. In what world is your opponent winning championships good for you? The money split is equitable so that closes that argument.

I used to pull for SEC schools in title games till Bama and UGA got to be real powerhouses. I don't do that crap no more.
Now if Ole Miss or some other school jumped up and had a chance I might pull for them. But as soon as they start becoming a powerhouse and pulling from LA then that changes.

Why?

They are going to be just as tough to best, but you’ll get less credit for doing so, or less understanding for failing to do so.

What marginal effect it will have on recruiting for a school with recent title and 2 Heisman winners is well within the range of influence of NIL.
