The boobs on wrestling women are mid anyways.

They all suck too.

Extremely well said. Other than the sport-aspect of the NBA, all of this is mostly soap opera or bubble gum for the mind. It is trashy entertainment.

Also, I remember going to NBA games as a kid. Where did all this music and dancing and lights come from, wasn't this about slam dunks and threes?

I responded to someone who compared wrestling to movies. I made the distinction that wrestling crowds cheer, jeer and yell during a match, unlike movie viewers. You, of course had to reply with a rather uncommon exception when one looks at the number of movies, and say that people cheer and jeer movies like Star Wars. I said those people who are that absorbed into a movie are screwy as well. Then you come back with a strawman claiming I don't value stories and am screwy as well. At no point have I said stories weren't an important part of culture.

The attitude era can never be topped, it was a moment in time. And being a kid during it was awesome

I haven’t watched since around 2000 or 2001

If you agree they are, what's screwy about someone placing great value on them?

Depend on what "great value" means. If you're one who looks forward to the next Star Wars film and see it the first weekend, fine. If you've got your home decorated with memorabilia, your arms tattooed with images and symbols of the movie amd it's your main hobby, you're screwy.

Probably. Hell, 90% of population is mentally ill. Look at all the TV shows.

It’s entertainment and no one over the age of 12 believes it’s real unless they have mental disabilities. One guy becoming a meme saying “It’s still real to me dammit”, and people who don’t like wrestling thinks that’s the mentality of those that do. That dude clearly has a mental deficiency.
I enjoy wrestling for what it is as an entertainment value. It’s fun. Obviously I enjoyed it more as a kid, and also when my son was young and into it. Nowadays I’m usually watching MNF on Mondays, and I’ll throw Raw on TV during the offseason.

Also I’ve been to 3 Wrestlemania’s. That’s quite an event to attend at least once that even non wrestling fans would enjoy.

There’s certainly a nostalgia element to it. I used to watch it as a kid and picked it up twice in my adult life as I saw some of the guys from my childhood come back. Nowadays it’s just a bunch of gay flippy shite. None of the guys even look like they could whip someone’s arse

I'm sorry... I think yes. You bananas.

My son was watching a youtube video about wresting.. Holy crap those crowds are huge and loud. Like a damn football game.

I'm sorry, I just don't get it... they certainly do though

At one time in the late 90s/early 2000s wrestling was whooping the NFLs arse in ratings. Then came fantasy football and the demise of the WCW which crippled it.

I know what you're referencing, I'm asking you why you think it's screwy.

Too muchbif their sense of self is sourced from a fictional creation often to the detriments of other aspects of their lives.

No. It’s just a tv show. People get into it as kids and stay into it. Just like any other tv show people get invested into the characters and it keeps their attention.

I was into wrestling as a kid and gradually lost interest as I aged but I know successful, serious, adult people who watch it. It’s just mindless entertainment in the evenings, we all do it in one form or another.

I mean, there is clearly something mentally wrong with me for caring about college football so much. So probably.
