My son was watching a youtube video about wresting.. Holy crap those crowds are huge and loud. Like a damn football game.

I mean it's scripted reality TV. I don't get the appeal, but no different from the endless survivor and singing shows

I don't see how you get that excited over a scripted sport. I don't think I'd get all that excited over a football or basketball game if the producers and teams already know who won.
So if you know it's not real, how do you get excited about it?

It's a soap Opera disguised as a "sport". It's just mindless entertainment like many other things.
Very few think it's real these days.

I've never watched it but always assumed this. I think they may believe overwhelming audience support for one character could shape the script going forward.
I think very few could possibly believe it's real.

It's just fun.
It's not woke crap.
Results are known, but it's almost all done on the fly.
Jey USO might be beating LA knight by an USO splash after 10 minutes. But, most of the match guys are working on the fly. They might do shite based upon crowd reaction etc.
It's a really cool form of entertainment.

Growing up in the 80s I never really watched it much, why would I it’s fake, etc. but I have been watching recently. It’s good entertainment, funny, and it feels patriotic for some reason.

Nah. I personally don't watch it but it can't be any worse than the rest of what's being blasted out over the airwaves these days. Hell, the Hallmark channel rakes in billions of dollars a year....are you going to call all of the women and homos that watch that shut mentally ill?
