Can’t believe 4Runner isn’t up there

Interesting
Lesbians must take better care of their cars than everybody else so the resale stays high

I would not have guessed that the top two would be Porches, but Toyota, Honda, and Subaru make sense.

I’m surprised there aren’t more Hondas on that list.

Until they're totaled. Then doesn't matter what you drive, insurance will swear it's 20% below market but the one 3 years newer with the extra 150k miles is in "excellent" condition.

Can't believe a Camaro is on that list...

Fact.
If you don't put too many miles on it, you can do pretty well on trade/resell.

I’m going to call BS on the Wrangler and Camaro. Those two vehicles depreciate quickly. I constantly see people flipped upside down in those.

I'd bet the Ford GT does better.

If new Porsches do the same thing the older models did, they’ll begin appreciating value at 20 to 30 years old.
Check prices on a 70s or 80s 911.
The only thing that might change that is the move away from the original air cooled engines in the 90s.

I may be missing something, but the avg MSRP for the 911 is $102k. It shows a drop of $18.1k, but a depreciation of only 9%. Shouldn’t it be 18%?
Posted on 12/16/23 at 10:44 am to stout
As percentage. But of that list, the actual dollar amount lost for the 911 was the highest.

Every site I've looked at has the Jeep's first then the 911's.

For common cars (that most people can afford), the wrangler and Tacoma has been tops for awhile

I’ve owned three Wranglers and sold everyone of them for at least as much as I paid and two of them for a good bit more than I paid. They may depreciate, but people will pay for them.

I wonder how much covid has skewed these numbers. The used car market has been absurd for years.

The older I get, the 911 hips become more sexy.
