Kinda makes you think people should just mind their own business and not worry about what other are doing with their religion or whatever, doesn't it?

Not really. No one "minds their own business" and humans will always base their behavior on religious beliefs whether they know thats what they're doing or not. Judeo christian values are the bedrock of this nation, and dispensing of them will not lead to a void of religion, it will lead to being filled with religious values that I can promise you will be incredibly more consequential than your minor objection to things like prayer in schools.

What does this mean? It’s very abstract. It is certainly not the “bedrock” of our laws

The first time I read the above title I thought it said, "Uproar as after-school Saban club forms at Tennessee elementary school."

And it made perfect sense...

Nobody is actually a “satanist,”
when I worked at the public library there was a group of ‘satanists’ that would come to the branch I worked and constantly tried to steal ‘The Satanic Bible’ by Anton Lavey. They also try to steal the Consecrated Bread from Catholic Churches.

I think it’s pretty naive to say they don’t exist.

Yea, you're right. You actually argued that you want your business to be left alone but also want to meddle in other people's business and tell them what they can and can't do.

The Satanic Temple makes it
quote:

clear its members do not actually worship the devil or believe in the existence of Satan or the supernatural. Instead Satan is used as a symbol of free will, humanism and anti-authoritarianism.

If these trolls actually believed in what they claim to believe in, they'd just change their name and eliminate probably 90% of the pushback.

These stories are uninteresting because it's all games and theater.

That very well be the choice you have. Don’t believe me? Ask the Brit’s and the French.

But the thing is that they are probably just atheist and it’s their way of rebelling against Christianity. Nobody that calls themselves a satanist actually believe in God or Satan.

All religions are fairytale myths so why not let the kids have their fairytale/myth club. It's all just make believe anyway

Hmmm.... .... k.

I do appreciate your reasonable and normal response though. I am ok with disagreeing, but this is the balance that occurs when "Christians" have been pushing their agenda the way they have, more so lately. Religion is not our solution. It may be yours, but it is not what this nation is built on.

I don’t get why they feed this troll either. I’m an atheist and know a few people that got in on the satanic temple. They are pretty anti social and weird and they had crazy arse hardcore Christian parents and all they want to do is stick it to the Christians. If people ignored them and let them do their troll thing, it would collapse because they got no resistance and no one gave a frick about their things. Instead you idiots throw a fit about Satanism and Satan playing right into what they want.

We used to talk about this at School boatd meeting. Everyone wants school prayer and freedom of religion until the satanic church shows up

When i was in school we had a student council, beta club, glee club, and a few other clubs.

We did not have a Jews club, baptists club, catholics club, islamist club, Muslims club, Satanists club, etc.

It just made sense to me that religion was to be practiced at the church.

I don't see what was so horrible about that that now we need all these clubs to separate our children based on religion on school grounds.

This was my experience also. And I agree with you on this.

You almost have to admire the shrewdness of the Satanic organization’s anti-Christian tactics. Giving the devil his due so to speak. You guys open a Christian club we will check you with a Satanic club teaching highly impressionable elementary kids free-will, humanism, and anti-authoritarianism. What could go bad?

Of course the organization’s leadership don’t actually believe in God, demons, or Satan as they are “secular”.
quote:

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
