I don’t even like calling them SUVs. They are more like station wagons.

And they both were miles behind Ford and GM

Please enlighten me how?

Imagine using some “mud mode” to cross that puddle.

Everything but that and a way out of that ditch.

I'm not optimistic about the new Tacoma.

You serious Clark?! The new Tacoma is miles ahead of the competition. It looks fantastic, has models for every price point, you can still get a manual, 2 door pre runner is back. TRD Pro & Trailhunter are incredible rides, but too expensive for my taste. The TRD off road looks like the 4WD value. Ford or GM don’t come close.

That Toyota isn't different than taking a Dodge Caravan off-road. Dude has no common sense.

Can’t wait for mine. Hoping to get it early spring.

Apparently one YouTuber is convinced the GX is a slightly less powered LC300 GX vs LC

Waiting to hear from the dealer later this month re my GX build.

The only manual Taco I've ever seen is sitting in my garage. Wish they would start making a come back. That was the deciding factor in me getting a taco.

This generation Tundra and Sequioa are extremely disappointing. If you have the old V8 model - keep it forever

2013 Tundy with V8 Over 250k miles. Love it.

I’m ok with that. I just can’t afford a new 300.

I was told there were no builds. It was you get a shot at whatever allocation the dealer gets. I put in my preference but not expecting to get it right away.

In 1996 I had a 4runner limited 4wd. I took that all over duck hunting with no problems.

Broke is pretty strong. Nothing mechanical was affected. He jacked up some plastic fascia shite and popped out a fog light that could be popped back into place. He got himself unstuck and drove the rest of his little course without any issues. Even the silly turtling at that hump on the trail which scratched up that fancy aluminum skid plate was handled with ease mechanically.

Of course, the clearance on that thing is ridiculously low for what he was trying to do and the flawed design feature of having said front end plastic trim so low to the ground should be obvious to anyone with a brain looking to buy one for use on that terrain.

Yet they call it a TRD Pro off road vehicle.

Compare it to a Z71 Tahoe and you will see a massive difference in clearance and no air dam to get ripped off by a 4 inch high obstacle.

Because the Z71 can actually go off road.

The ones here are taking builds. I almost pulled the trigger on one but my 17 has too much life left in it and I want to hold out for more option availability. A third row overtrail is what I want and I hope they end up offering it.

Tjat was my first though lol. My Father has a Ridgeling and calls it a truck. I always tell him it's not a truck, but it's more of a truck than that

I don’t have much clearance on my Tundra either. I need to put a small lift on it.

Sorry, poor choice of words. It’s an allocation, basically waiting to see the two interiors for the Overtrail+ before we choose. We’re #2 for that model at our dealer, so expect to get it early in the cycle.

That's a Sequioa TRD Pro - the most off road capable version of their Tundra-based SUV.

And it's a total pavement princess

I’ve never understood why anyone with half a brain wants to take a brand new vehicle off road. 4x4 on a new vehicle to me is for the occasional mud, snow, etc. Stock vehicles are almost always too low, and off roading is never good for your vehicle especially a new one between scratches, dents, bent parts, etc.

Anyone with any sort of money has a vehicle to get them to the off roading area and 4x4 more specifically built to go off road that they can beat up without caring. So I don’t get looking cool in your expensive new vehicle all mudded up.
